Look, fuel isnt cheap and the airlines are not making sh!t for money and you want to bitch cause you dont have enough leg room..well TUFF.

Write your congressman.

Dont fly economy class.

Just like we need all that security eh? 99% of it is pointless, because anyone with half a clue could devise a way around it. I would have loved to fly first class, but there was no first class spots available when I bought my tickets or when I checked in. What do you want me to do? Get someone's address and axe-murder them and steal their first class seat. When it's full it's full.

Then deal with it....just like everybody else has to.

Maybe you should make a thread to bitch about airport security while you are at it.............

Why do you try to pick a fight with me in every thread I post? Insecure or just a troll?

Maybe because you are an a$$hat

WTF is your problem? Millennium is a good guy. Just becuase you disagree with a person does not mean you have to be insulting.

And yet he can insult me and half the people here with no problem?

I guess I'm not seeing the same stuff you are. Care to show me?

I always ask for a seat at the emergency exits for that reason. If you can't get a seat with space just be sure to have nicely trained legs with which you can basically fold the chair in front of you forward. After doing that on and off for a few minutes people usually get the hint.

While you weren't insulting anywhere near half the people in this thread, you did call FrustratedUser an 'asshat' and he didn't even really say anything offensive at all....just put up a statement that you disagreed with.

I would have asked him earlier to be a bit more considerate of you - and the limited seating space that you have in your row. I used to not have enough courage to say such things, but not anymore. Now, I quickly let people know that they are adding to my discomfort level.

I assume you are talking to me, yet you are quoting Amused? Anyways, it's not like I just called him an asshat and ran from the thread. I posted a decent enough reply that was prefaced by: and you're an asshat if you do THIS. Go back and read the post, as it was hardly full of the vitriol that you make it to be.

Most of the time I am insulting to someone is because of their ignorance. It's not like I go out of my way to be an ass to someone, but a lot of people on AT act like they know what they are talking about. I try to check my facts or opinion before I go spouting off, and if I am wrong I am wrong. Take the drug running thread for instance. Was there a reason to be even remotely nice to people who ignored Snopes, or acted like they knew what they were talking about? It wasn't like it was a difference of opinion.... they were flat out wrong. You may not realize it, but that kind of ignorance is what runs people on AT off. It is just recently that I started posting in car threads again. The ignorance was overwhelming, and only 2 or 3 posts in an entire thread would even be accurate.

did he know you were being crushed and refuse to move up or something? because most people, on most airplanes do not get crushed by reclining seats...

Kick the seat hard repeatedly for the entire flight. Then, once you land, follow him to the bathroom and stuff his head in a toilet and and be sure and put the seat down on his head.

I hate rude people on airplanes... like flying these days isn't stressful enough.

The same thing could be said about you Mil. Almost everyone knows that flying can be a chore and usually people are inconsiderate. So his advice of "deal with it" is valid.

LOL - you actually expected an 18-yr old to actually give a fvck ?

Another thing you could've done was signal to the attendant and point at his seat at takeoff.

Anything after that - well if you're still annoyed, I don't know how big you are... it doesn't usually bother me at full tilt.

EDIT>>> We flew AA last week and got to check-in early enough to ask for an evac row... meaning more leg room. Just do the same and you won't have to deal with other people like everyone else does. On the way there though, I was able to stretch my legs all the way under the seat in front of me and was perfectly comfortable. Either AA has more legroom or I'm short at 5'10.5.

What airline did you fly ?

Flying's a pain period. Some guy reclining his seat in front of me is usually the least of the annoyances. My gripes usually start when entering the Boarding Area when they make me take off my boots.

just belch really loud and blow the stinkin air over him, he'll move up. or if u have an aisle seat, warn him that u have an hyperactive bladder and would need to ask him to move his seat up numerous times so that u can go to the bathroom

You guys who claim that you can't get your knees crushed by a reclined seat are wrong. I am 6'1", 230lbs, and I fly about 2 times a week. I was sitting in coach class on a USair flight from Pittsburgh to Raleigh 4 days ago. My knees were HITTING the metal frame of the seat in front of me. If that man had reclined his seat, I would have been in pain, very bad pain. You can repeat 20 times how the seat rotates around the axis, but when my knees are 4 inches above that axis, it doesn't make a damn bit of difference.
You can proclaim your god given right to be able to manipulate your chair however you want, but guess what? There are other people in the world besides you. Maybe want to think about that for a second? I know it's hard...

If that's the case, you can always ask to switch seats with the person. That way he can recline all he wants.

And then switch with the next guy in front, then the next, until I am at the bulkhead I guess... You don't fly much do you...

Actually I fly quite frequently. It takes two to be considerate though. You're not being very considerate by not letting the guy recline in the seat that he paid for. Maybe I'm just not as anal retentive as you. Either way, it works both ways chump 🙂

I'm fairly sure this is the first time I've ever agreed with Millennium but being 6'3" 205 myself I can empathize. Flying is bad enough without inconsiderate jerks like that.

Here's an analogy for you guys. I'm sure a lot of you have been the first to bitch about people smoking in restaurant haven't you? Well what's the problem? The person doing the smoking paid for the table didn't they? Oh, but what they're doing in the space they've paid for is cutting in to your comfort. I got it now. Even so, it is a smoking restaurant so it's their right isn't it? Go somewhere else. Please, spare me the stupid "smoking's a health risk to me" arguments. The coke you're washing you diner down with is probably more harmful in the long run. While the analogy is slightly different it really boils down to the same thing, a person being well within their rights but still infringing on your comfort.

I'd love to see people start building the world around tall people and see how long it takes the short people to start b1tching.
