86. But it's all bull you can make full auto in 15 min from many weapons. you think a criminal cares about a conversion charge when about to murder ppl? Symbolism over substance.

And talk about loopholes no back ground check whatsoever if you register though corporation or trust.

That's simply not true. There are MANY of them that can be bought for below $10,000, $3,000-$8,000 is normal for quite a few of the subguns, MAC10, UZI's, hell, I've seen HK auto sears go for $5,000. This is no where near out of range.

M-10 and Uzi aren't big scary black rifles, now are they? In movies, who gets handed the SMG? The girl. So SMG's might as well not exist.

This is what the conservatard wants:

^ I think most "gun nuts" like guns because they are cool and can be a fun hobby, in the same vane as cars or computers. A lot of firearm enthusiasts are pretty nerdy about it, and can certainly appreciate an SMG as much as anything else. No ignorant machismo required.

select fire weapons that have automatic mode? pretty hard to get one for a civilian . . . not sure if they're PROHIBITED but i don't think they hand out permits for those easily

Select fire means you can select the fire mode, semi-auto, burst, or full auto, some have all three, some have only semi/full. They aren't prohibited, and pretty much if you have the money, and qualify to buy a handgun, you can buy a machine gun. $200 for the tax stamp, 2x passport photos, 2x fingerprint cards, and sign off letter from the local CLEO/or a trust, and three to six months wait.

Select-fire weapons made before 1968 are able to be owned by civilians. It is a pain in the butt to be cleared by the ATF though. I don't think any post-1968 automatic weapon is legal to own.

1986, in 1986 the democrats illegally added the Hughes amendment to the Firearm Owner Protection act, banning the importation, and manufacture of new machine guns for civilian purchase.

Geez you are stupid, Arnold disagrees with your ignorance.

Sorry. Must have been stuck on the date for the Gun Control Act.

Worse, they get handed so often to actresses that clearly haven't a clue. It tends to be almost comical in Central or Western European movies.

As libtard with not but a .22 bolt, I'd probably want a lever .357 or .30-30 with a forward scope added, somehow (some newer ones can come with such mounts from the factory, it seems), if I wanted to get a gun for playing with. Woe is me, for I would be shunned by the tacticool conservatards :(. ^_^
