Had a rough time trying to get Windows installed on my new SSD, took me a while (probably too long) to figure out that the SSD would only be detected if it was plugged into a SATA2 port instead of each of the SATA3 sockets I originally tried. Installing windows now. Might I be able to use the SATA3 ports once I get all my drivers and everything installed? Seems to me they should just work right away, so it's got me a bit worried they just don't work. Is it uncommon for something like that to not work on a motherboard but have everything else on the board work just fine?
