Ask me anything about food.

If I know it I will answer it, I'll try and avoid debates to answer questions as much as possible.

Ask anything literally, about food politics, buying food, cooking, etc just don't ask for recipes they take too long to write out.

🙂

Away we go...

There's an answer to the first question...but food politics also pertains to things like fishing rights such as China being the world superpower for food supply in the next 15-20 years, and things like Cod allowing early exploration of North America and the fishing rights for Cod having influences over wars.

Akins sucks because ketosis is not healthy for your body, and because it still encourages large portions of foods that are unhealthy for your cardiovascular system. Exercise, watch portion size, and eat balanced meals. Of course exercise is mentioned first because its what the majority of people miss in an exercise routine.

Most Americans are obese due to a 40 calorie/day excess food intake. It adds up to about 1#/year.

What is the proper way to eat a Napoleon without ruining it?

Dunno the first one, the second one is kind of a mute point. I don't like the idea of a Napoleon, it puts presentation above taste and ability to eat your food, part of the same reason I don't like inedible garnishes.

Because its high in modified starches and they make you constipated. You probably consume a lot of dairy products as well?

Chicken Kiev has butter in the center of it, which can explode when it's cut open. A Napoleon should be placed on its side so the whole thing isn't ruined.

What sauce contains the most protein?

Any sauce that's based on protein, but not many are. Almost all sauces are fat/water emulsions or sugar reductions.

I'd hazard a guess at veloute's because they have pureed protein or meat stock as a base, along with a white roux.

Because there is hot butter in the middle and it you are not careful, you could stain your clothes or get burned, or both?

😉

You can bait and answer your own questions without even considering what I typed and try to look like you know it all, or you can be constructive by not wasting my time.

Hey Messer,

How do I get my HungryMan to a proper temperature?

Thank you for reading (and hopefully responding),

You said you didn't know the answer to the first one, and you said you didn't care about the second one. I thought you were done with your input, but if not, please, by all means, go right ahead.

I thought he was being constructive...he did provide an answer instead of marginalizing it...

All these things can be part of the Atkins diet.

No one says to substitute bacon for chicken breast and no one should think it's a wise dietary decision.

BTW-I don't do Atkins
