Is this thread your lame attempt to be made an Elite Member, just as my tax thread did for me?

Gainesville:
+ not living with parents, friends nearby, don't have to move far
- have to pay all living expense

NY:
+ free rent, food
- know nobody there, hard to find a job, traffic sucks

if you have time I'd say find a job FIRST then decide. you'll be at your job more than 50% of your waking hours so I'd suggest finding a job you're happy with where ever that maybe be. Personally I'd live in Gainsville because you'll probably enjoy life more living on your own with friends around.

Go to those "town hall" meetings/city council meetings would probably be your best bet. There are plenty of local politicans who don't have legal backgrounds around here.

It's human nature to want what you can't have. Trust me, I broke up with my gf of 4 years because I finally realized that I couldn't see myself marrying her. I did love her though. I'm happier in the end. You have to be selfish and think of yourself first as bad as it sounds. I mean you're probably young (like me) and have a lot of living to do.

star of the west
9 U.S. steamer Star of the West, Captain McGowan, was fired on by Confederate troops from Morris Island and Fort Moultrie as she attempted to enter Charleston Harbor. Cadets from the Citadel took part in this action. The relief of Fort Sumter was not effected. These were the first Confederate shots fired at a vessel flying the United States flag. Star of the West returned to New York.
You said first ship fired upon, this is the earliest reference I could find. If you're talking first iron clad battle between two ships, that'd be the monitor and the merrimack.

ROFL, that comment you made about martha stewart, prison, and steroids was pretty bad. But I don't see the court jester being thrown out today.

Would it be worth more if it finds him guilty or innocent?

The only person that would pay you would be Kobe. I don't know how much it'd be worth, I'm guessing more than $50 million just because kobe get more than that in endorsements. It'd be worth more if it proved him guilty because it looks like he's going to be proven innocent.

But either way it'd be worth A LOT because kobe would never want that tape to get out. If it proved him innocent he's still wouldn't want a tape of him commiting adultery out in the public.

congrats btw, but no way! There is no way anybody would consider this thread as "Elite" as your tax thread. Mine's for entertainment purposes only. Yours saved a lot of people money, grief, swearing, their first born, etc... ;)

because it originates from when underwear was 2 seperate pieces that came together with a drawstring.. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. I think they're called pantaloons?

And it's a bra because it's only one garment, even though it holds two things :)

JS Bach lived with and took music lessons from his older brother until he was 15 or so. Who was the primary (most well-known) teacher of that older brother?
