What a freakin' prima donna.

What you do (and I've done) is you say- "Wait a minute, stop", etc. and then have them restart. Yes, it's live, but if you're a real band-leader, vocalist, etc, you do this. You don't just walk off the damn stage.

Jeez, I dunno. I don't know that there was much she could do to dig her way out of this. She was presumably totally startled and embarrassed, and had no way of knowing whether whomever was in charge of recueing the lip-sync track was able to get it set up fast enough. She may literally have not even had a live mic anyway. I don't know what the hell I'd do in that situation.
 
Real musicians know how to salvage stuff like this. Happens all the time. Clearly the band was "live" and could play. The show must go on....

She didn't even try.

I have been meaning to delete my 2 Avril songs... her lyrics are hilariously stupid. Though everytime it comes on the radio, I listen to it again while laughing inside.
 
Yep, she ruined any trace of credibility she had left when she made her "apology" and blamed her band. If I were one of the band members I'd get on NBC's case for editing out the vocal track for the west coast viewers, making it seem like the band started the wrong song when it was really the fault of the sound booth for cueing up the wrong track (and Ashlee's for being a Avril-wannabe hack 😛)

In the unedited version you see the drummer play the intro when the vocal track comes in. There were probably triggers set up on the drum set that would start the track when he started playing. Then he had no choice but switch to "Pieces of Me" and the rest of the band followed. Clearly not their fault.
 
The funniest thing about that video is her dancing around like an idiot becuase she has no idea what to do. That's just sad.

I actually feel bad for her. SNL is live, so maybe alot of artist lipsync. Then again, its no different than singing at a concert either. I'd like to know the full story, but if what DonVito said is true, it sounds like a gigantic clusterf*ck!
 
haha... that was funny. You can't blame her for not knowing what to do really, she's a n00b. not saying she can sing though. her voice is terrible. the producers really know how to cover that up.

I Really Love how when her voice track came on, she brought mic up to mouth to try and cover it up!!
 
guys hate her, girls love her.

I dont see the big deal. She messed up. She still has her girl fans which are in the hundreds of thousands.
