To everyone who questions her judgement, realize it was likely impaired because she had been drinking.

So if I drink to excess I can murder someone & not be accountable for my actions?

But by your logic, she's a more sympathetic victim because she chose to drink?

Nakamichi appears to believe that her possible murder is somehow "just punishment" for what he sees as "loose sexual morality". I have a problem with this, because who the fvck is he to be judging her?
I guess he sees himself as the Moral Judge of others. How he came to this conclusion beats the hell out of me.

Even if she was as he said it still doesn't justify what happened to her.

Let's say a girl stays at a bar past 1:00AM in a place she's never been to, gets drunk off her ass, and goes with three guys in a car. Does this girl have any morals at all?

Yes or no.

BTW, please stop talking out of your asses, Red Dawn and Astaroth. I did not ever say she deserved her death, though I know you'd love it if I did.

You can't possibly tell if she has or doesn't have morals because she's partying on a vacation island and goes for a drive with 3 people she apparently trusted. This is a very safe island in all respects.

She may be (or have been) book-smart, but it's also entirely possible that she's never learned how to avoid and/or handle herself in these kinds of situations. We don't know what was going through her head when she left the club: Was she too intoxicated to have a good handle on what was going on? Possible, if she's never really drunk alcohol before. Was she otherwise incapacitated? Was her intent to leave the club for a little gangbang action (as Nakamichi apparently wants to believe)? Theoretically possible, but highly doubtful.

The real answer is that these guys probably came across a hot young girl who they felt was an easy target, and manipulated her trust. Did she deserve this? No. Was she "loose"? Who knows, but that question is most likely not relevant to what happened to her. In any case, none of us are qualified to judge her character. Not even you, Nakamichi, as much as you think you deserve the honor.

Obviously she trusted them, or they used ghb etc. To conclude that she is of bad character because she was in that situation in the first place is ill-conceived and prejudice.

If nakamichi wants to make self-righteous ignorant assumptions, that's his perogative, since he doesn't need facts to get to this point, facts won't sway him away from it. Personally I think a girl could easily be in that situation in that environment and still have outstanding character, which many of her friends and schoolmates have also said many wonderful things about her.

My daughter is 15, and has spent months at camps, outings etc; since she's been a teen, she spent a week in NYC last month, 3 days at the state capital last week & is off to 2 summer camps (both academic) this summer she'd no more go off with strangers in a foreign country than cut off her arm.

This girl's parents should be ashamed for raising such a gullible child, and if they were aware how poor her judgment was (and a parent has the responsibility to know these things), they should be doubly ashamed for giving permission for the trip & likely financing it too.

Ya know... I am not sure I can agree with this 100%. I, too have a daughter. she will be 21 in Oct. And I have raised her to be careful, self respectful and modest. No tight clothes, short skirts or low cut tops. Hardly any makeup... always look behind you,... be aware of your surroundings... scope out what could possibly happen in every situation... Never lose control of yourself in public (drinking)...and I still worry. Cause if someone wants to harm her... chances are they will find a way.

I would bet this girls parents thought... "there are 100 kids and chaparones. what could possibly happen?"... Well, what happened was that some assh*le took advantage of a situation when this girl used poor judgement. I would bet that her parents are dying inside ... saying only if... only if they didnt let her go, only if they didnt give her the money, only if they went with her, only if they called her every night.

it is really sad.
