I was hoping this season would be the one that made AD & the show could continue for several years - gotta love Fox.

I LOOOVE the show, but like other people have said, you have to watch the whole thing to really get it. The story line is so crazy and there is a lot going on at once, its hard to keep up if you miss episodes. I like it a because the comedy is clever and can be very subtle at times and I also like the inside jokes. I don't blame FOX for canceling it, it did poor in the ratings and that's all that really matters. I knew it was coming sooner or later. It's just going to be another one of those cancelled cult hits.

One of the best lines ever:

"I know you?re the big marriage expert. Oh, I?m sorry. I forgot. Your wife is dead."

From one episode this season, I liked when Tobias said:

"Okay, Lindsay, are you forgetting that I was a professional twice over? an analyst and a therapist? The world?s first analrapist. (the first part sounds like it does in anaylsis and rapist sounds like it does in therapist.)

Dammit, I love this show! Fox is so dumb, they cancel all their greatest shows and freakin keep the simpsons. Ug.

You can't possibly believe that a network makes decisions based on the shows they themselves like. Not even an ATOT-er can be that stupid. The ratings for AD were about half of what the Simpsons draws and the Simpsons is MUCH cheaper to produce. THAT'S why AD was cancelled and that's why The Simpsons stays on.

just ran into this and thought about posting it so you can appreciate some of the brilliant humor AD provides.

SPOILER ALERT DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T LIKE SPOILERS

ok.. with that out of the way.

Taken from TVGUIDE.COM:
Per Variety, series creator Mitch Hurwitz is planning an episode that will poke fun at Fox's decision to reduce the show's episode order from 22 to 13, effectively canceling it. In the episode, titled "S.O.B." for "Save Our Bluths," the Bluth clan considers throwing a fund-raiser to save their construction company from shutting down. In one scene, Jason Bateman's Michael notes, "Our backs are against the wall... It's just hard for me to accept that it's really come to begging." There's even a conversation about whether the Home Builders Organization - HBO - might be willing to come to their rescue. That idea is quickly nixed though, leading George Sr. to say, "I guess it's Showtime. We'll put on some kind of show at the [fund-raiser]."

The stupid move here is...

how do you send a show like "prison break" into a second season?

If they don't break out in the finale, then the show sucks. If they do break out... then what? Do they get caught, put back in and have to escape again? Or do you change the name of the show to "life after a prison break" and try to not make it suck?

For all those bashing AD... I admit it's one that hard to get into, but watch it from season 1, ep 1 and you'l love it. It's been cleaned out on the rental shelves at my local blockbuster since season 2 came out on DVD.

The peopel at Fox are a bunch of short-sighted morons

I think they know a bit more about running a TV network than we do. I hate it when great shows get cancelled too. RIP Sports Night. 🙁

Shens. How they still have a network is beyond me. I mean they got Fox News, which is the laughing stock of the 'News' community. Then they got their regular network, which is equally ridiculed, but usually by comedy animations that are on the network. (ie Simpsons, Family Guy, and Futurama) Basically, the enitre network is a joke, run by morons. Best of luck to them airing sh!tty sports events for people of equal intelligence....

It would be cool if HBO were to pick it up. Then the $15/month or whatever I'm paying to have the Sopranos continuously delayed would be at least partially justifiable.

I was wondering the same thing, but aparently the producers/writers have the entire show planned out until the end of the 2nd season. Beyond that, they're probably screwed.

fox never advertised it. of course it did poorly. for that i blame fox.

as has been stated before around here, if fox doesn't know why a tv show might be good they do everything they can to torpedo it. they don't advertise it, they switch the time slot around, they show episodes out of order so that they don't make sense. and then the executives look at the horrible ratings, pat themselves on the back for screening out another bad show, and push yet another horrible episode of prison break.

One of the brothers leaves his favorite codpiece behind. They spend the entire second season plotting how to break back in to retrieve it.

And just how many episodes of prison break have you watched?

For some reason people who love this show defend it by attacking the intelligence of the people who thought it was stupid.

That is one of the funniest things I have ever read.
