Why the cocking hell don't they just go home?
They must know that the only thing they are going to achieve is either to get shot or go to jail.

It must be frustrating as hell to have to negotiate with them.

Well at this point they can't really go home. Once they leave they, much like their comrades in arms, will be arrested. So, at least at this point, I don't blame them for having a few last smoke outs around the campfire. Going to be the last weed and booze they taste for quite a while. If they are smart they are devising ways to smuggle some of that lube into prison with them, it will make their initiation go easier.

Video released last night by one of the men who was arrested and later released says otherwise. Ryan Bundy was wounded in the vehicle because he was struck by shrapnel from the officers firing on Finicum, who had exited the vehicle "brandishing" his weapon. Hands up in the air and brandishing a weapon upon exiting a vehicle are two different things, especially when the person exiting the vehicle has publicly stated a will to die rather than give up.

He died because he was stupid, end of story.

I figured about as much myself it probably was something along those lines, just from the initial reports.

These guys are the biggest pussies. I heard a bunch left after last night's shooting & arrests. I get not wanting a shootout, be brave and get arrested & dragged off like other protesters.

They are hearing tales of how "tarp man" had his arms up while being shot.
So in their minds...there is no being taken alive. No arrest scenario where the evil feds don't just cold kill them all. They honestly think they need to flee or fight.

so why did the cops open fire and kill him? the cops arent saying shit and the witness are claiming he had his hands up and got capped in the head and 2 in the chest. sounds like target practice to me.

And another alleged witness said this:

"According to Mr. McConnell’s account in the video, Mr. Finicum became “rather heated” after police officers stopped the cars and detained most of the activists.

“They went to the ground. They were handcuffed. Next thing we know, LaVoy takes off — with his pickup and the other occupants,” Mr. McConnell said.

He said he did not witness the actual shooting, but he disputed that Mr. Finicum was on his knees or that officers went after him.

“He was not on his knees, he was none of that nonsense,” Mr. McConnell said.

He added: “He went after them. He charged at him. That ain’t gunning somebody down.”

At this point it's all hearsay. We don't know what happened.

behold the rare shooting death where the left doesn't condemn law enforcement

I guess you would even have to define what "The Left" even is these days.

I am a Marine myself, and a Democrat, and do not condone this fake patriotism BS.

People want to slap generic labels on people all of the time, like they are pushed out of a cookie cutter.

There are lots of shooting deaths by law enforcement that the left doesn't condemn. Most of them, in fact. Coincidentally, they all involve armed criminals.

You came in looking to incorrectly blame law enforcement and now you're saying this, as if you always support them and liberals don't? Or wtf are you actually saying? If anything...lol!

If you want a link to the video then go back a bit and catch up with the rest of us... I posted it in this thread early this AM.

It's not just in Oregon:

Last March, nine members of an extremist militia group were charged in Michigan with seditious conspiracy and attempted use of weapons of mass destruction in connection with an alleged plot to attack law enforcement and spark an uprising against the government.

According to the federal indictment, the nine individuals planned to kill a law enforcement officer and then use bombs to attack the caravan of cars taking part in the subsequent funeral procession, hoping that this violence would incite a larger armed conflict with authorities. Fortunately, the FBI and the Michigan State Police intervened and took the subjects into custody before they could carry out their alleged plot.

It’s just one example of the dangers posed by so-called militia extremists—the latest topic in our series to educate the nation on domestic terror threats that the FBI investigates today. Previous stories have focused on anarchist extremists, eco-terrorists/animal rights extremists, lone offenders, and sovereign citizen extremists.

Heavy duty stuff.

Seriously you can't not be serious about it. They (in Oregon) were asking to turn over federally protected land (designated in the 1920's) to themselves to do with as they please. I would help fight for the federal protections if I could.

The most chilling aspects to me are the cammo and of course the weapons - the common denominator of those who want to do harm, collectors, protectors, hobbyists, terrorists, hunters, "militias," the suicidal, ...and big, big business.

Something for you to laugh at about a serious subject...

During one of the live streams from the preserve today the morons were talking about the roads being blocked, leaving them without a way to escape. In the comments for the stream someone observed that it was funny to see guys in camo and heavy boots, allegedly outdoor types, saying that they are trapped because roads are blocked. Luckily, in this case a bunch of fools with guns wrote checks that their asses couldn't cash.*

Next time it might not be.

* Lavoy tried to cash his check in, it was refused.

More arrests today...

Eight people left the refuge since the checkpoints were set up, the FBI said. Of those eight people, five were released and three were arrested.
The three men arrested face one federal felony count of conspiracy to impede officers of the United States from discharging their official duties through the use of force, intimidation, or threats.

...

Duane Leo Ehmer, 45, of Irrigon, Oregon; and Dylan Wade Anderson 34, of Provo, Utah; were arrested at about 3:30 p.m., according to the FBI.
Jason S. Patrick, 43, of Bonaire, Georgia; who claimed to be the new leader of the group, was arrested at about 7:40 p.m., the FBI said.
I'm glad they decided to give up.

What does camo mean? Nothing. Nothing at all. Same with the mere ownership of guns, knives, and other types of weapons.

The guy who was shot said two important things on camera

1st) He'd never allow himself to go to jail
2ns) Don't point a gun unless you intend to kill.
These aren't his exact words but they're pretty close. This statement makes his motivations pretty clear.

I think they ran out of everything. Word is that on one stream earlier one of the morons was saying that a militia member left and took some of the other guys mags. I guess there's no honor among militia...lol!

I think this should be forever referred to as the Dildo Rebellion; it was run by dildos, supplied with dildos and heated by burning dildos.

In the end it just petered out...

I would say that "and in the end, they only ended up fucking themselves".
