That sounds about right... as usual, follow the money. Somewhat relating to what you are saying, here's an article from someone who ostensibly supports people who have problems with how the government does things and yet they vehemently disagree with the Ol' Man Bundy and his kids. The went to the refuge in search of kindred souls and found nothing of the kind.
It's a bit long but read the whole thing... I was very surprised by the way this person saw the occupation and not only that, but they see a much bigger picture in the advocacy of selling off our public lands (or turning them over to the state) and what it would do to our country.
