No mention of rocksteady in there so I have to assume they were out of the loop?

The game was ultimately Rocksteady's responsibility. Farming out PC porting is nothing new, many companies do it -- Eidos Montreal and Crystal Dynamics worked with a company called Nixxes for the Deus Ex Human Revolution and Tomb Raider PC versions, for example, and they were pretty well done. Somewhat buggy and had performance issues on launch, but nothing disastrous. But if Rocksteady was so out of the loop that they genuinely didn't know about the broken state of the PC version, that's a bad setup when it comes to development.

Well, I can see a situation where Rocksteady hands their code over to WB and WB passes it along to whoever they picked to make it work on PC and that's it. I don't believe it would be the first time that happened either.

What they need to do is to delay this until next summer, to make sure it's a solid release (like GTA 5). Or hell, I'll even wait 2 years for this!

What they need to do is stop treating PC users like a joke. This goes for all gaming companies.

Why does Nvidia and AMD and Intel exist and make gaming GPU's and CPU's if they aren't even going to be utilized properly? This is a joke and shows zero respect, possibly even a disdain for consumers. It's long been known that some developers can not stand the PC gaming community yet continue to work in the sector (why? if they hate it so much?)

I wish people would stop apologizing for this BS and saying things like "i'll happily wait for 2 years for what console gamers are getting yesterday"

$$$$$$ that's pretty much it. Also, their antiquated notion that we are a bunch of pirates. Personally, I have never pirated a single game. Steam sales in particular make this a jerk move. The funny part is that it is a self fulfilling prophesy. They believe we won't buy thus give us crap, then we in turn don't buy enough units to suit their greed. But, don't fret as long as there is some cash to be made on us we WILL receive games in some form on our platform. Also, it is just my hunch that devs are having are harder time making their "visions" come to life on those under-powered consoles than they thought they would. I do believe things will get better as this cycle continues along, then the reapers will come for this gen and we having the same teething pains again:) Since I'm on the Mass Effect thing, I dont' believe the netbook processors can possibly handle the calculations to dock the crucible:p

Beat the game a couple of days ago - had to use just one Titan X (SLI still doesn't work).

Graphics are brilliant.

My favorite suit:

How do you guys rate this to Arkham City? Better or worse overall? (technical issues set aside)

Worse...much worse. Mostly because I hate the batmobile and the repetiveness of the gameplay. Boss battles are gone. Replaced with tank battles.

Is that for serious? I loved the boss battles in previous games. :hmm:

Yes...let me give you a few examples. It was all very disappointing to me.

For two face he and his crew start robbing banks while everyone evacuated the city. You go to the bank, take out thugs, two face calls you on the comlink and talks trash for a bit and says "you'll get yours" or something. Then you do the same thing again, exactly the same. Take out the thugs and he threatens you. Then on the third one two face shows up with his thugs. You have to take him and his thugs out. He is like any other thug in the game. You can stealth takedown and win and just mop up the thugs. He has no special abilities.

For Penguin you get intel from nightwing that he is using vans to transport weapons to hidden caches around the city. You bug the van and follow it to the cache. Take out the thugs with nightwing's help. Then blow up the cache. You do this 3 or 4 times until penguin shows up and you have to take him down. Again he has no special abilities and doesn't fight. You win in 1 shot.

For The Arkham Knight you have to fight him in an attack chopper with the batmobile in tank mode, then again when he's in a tank, then again when his tank has an exposed weak spot, then do a tunnel race to avoid getting squished by a driller machine where you drive the batmobile down tunnels and avoid obstacles, then one more time where he is a regular thug perched on a vantage point with a sniper rifle. All you need to is run up to him and grapple to his vantage point and get a hit then take out the thugs. Do this 3 or 4 times and you win. It's pretty pathetic.

Manbat, all you do is find him and glide down on top of him 3 times. That's it...no fight.

Firefly you go to the firestation he is burning down and use the batmobile winch to turn the fire suppression system back on. Then he runs away. You chase him in the batmobile for a while until you are prompted to do a glide attack and take him down. Repeat this a few times and you win. No fight.

Poison Ivy isn't a villain this time and her parts of the story involve protecting plants from tanks. Tank battles are probably 40-60% of the game if I had to guess.

Yeah, the Two Face incident was weird. I took down all the henchmen and then was like "Let's do this Harvey"...uhhh, already done, you say? Well that's disappointing.

I did like the Batmobile, but agree that they WAY overdid it with the tank thing.

I think Knight is better written than the previous games, but the implementation is lacking.

Anyone know how to get suits for the game? I want the one posted above but I didn't preorder. Is there a way to add it manually via torrents or something?

Infraction issued for piracy.

The first two games are the best with Arkham City being number one. This game is a good action game but that's about it. They dropped the ball on the storyline and made the game more action based instead of stealthy.

I would say it depends on WHY you hated city, but yeah probably.

Personally I dont know if its because of the sour taste in my mouth from the PC issues or the game really just isnt that good but the couple hours ive spent so far have been very underwhelming. I hated the Riddler challenge batmobile thing, the weapon, item, quest, selector thing is awkward. I dont like the new control scheme. Enemys run away more than they fight. Ill drop into a group of enemies and 2/3 will run away. Hate the new Commissioner Gordon voice.

Overall just a big flat experience for me.

I hated Arkham City because i hate just going around Gotham. I just wanted it to tell me where to go and progress the story, like arkham asylum..

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion even if the opinion is stupid :)

Seriously though, it was as linear as Asylum, go to the courthouse save catwoman, get shot at by joker, find joker in the tower, he sends you to freeze for blood stuff, and so on.

The rest are all side quests and bonus stuff. It tells you where to go with a big freaking bat signal lol.

It did tell you where to go. Explicitly.
It showed on your ever-present onscreen map, and with a big flashing objective marker, and a text description on the menu screen.

If you're too dense to follow that, then that's alarming.

Well the main story in Arkham knight tells you where to go every time. The side stuff mostly doesn't until you find it by exploring.

It is just me or are the sound effects in this game really poor?

I have a Creative ZX sound card, and Sennheiser HD 598 headphones. I have the game set to use Pro headphones, and all the in game volume settings are maxed.

Yet criminals can still sneak up on batman (the ridiculously narrow FOV doesn't help much) on foot or even in a vehicle because the sound effect quality is abysmal.
