The irony of this thread. Just today a really hot girl asked me to have sex w/ her and I turned it down. I'm still a virgin @ 18 and plan to remain one until i get married. I, like many others of you, have had many opportunities but reasoned that it would be better to wait.

The disheartening thing about this thread is that many of you guys seem to celebrate losing your virginity. Like you have accomplished the impossible. Anyone can lose their virginity - i see no point in praising yourselves. I know a lot of good looking guys (good looking enough that they have social lives and don't waste their night and days on forums) who plan on staying virgins until marriage.

I guess it's all about the way you're raised. I was raised by Catholic parents who spent time teaching me better methods of becoming a confident person, rather than doing the first girl that opened her legs.

Anyway, for all the guys pressured into having sex... do like any typical nerd does...avoid conforming.

There's a certain amount of respect men should have for women when considering sex. If you aren't really interested and don't love that person, you shouldn't have sex w/ them. I know if any guy were to have sex w/ my sister, i'd literally torture them to death. She can do it w/ her husband, but otherwise... i feel sorry for the guy who tries. IF you look at every girl as being someone elses sister, you learn to back off.

I don't know what being raised Catholic has anything to do with it....however, I'd say you were raised scared and are still worried about what your parents want rather than your own.

There was a Christian school here, I had 3 of the girls from it, my brother 1....there was only like 10 girls in the senior class as it was. There was one girl virgin left....however for some odd reason there was only 1 (or 2) male non-virgins. Like here the guys would try to give advice to my girlfriend as she waited for me to pick her up (the school tried to ban me from doing that).

By you say you know a lot of guys that plan on staying virgins, but have social lives too sort of doesn't tell us anything. Are they 12? 15? Do they date women on dates that happen without chaperone? Do they have their own places to live? There are a lot more people spouting off on how they are going to remain a virgin because they have no option not to be, than those that do and have tons of options not to be anymore.

The not really interested part goes without saying.....the love part is a fairy tale told by virgins for justification for their non-sexual lives....they can claim I was never in love, rather than say I couldn't get laid. I hate to break it to you but there are ALOT of women that just want sex now a days and do not want to be burdened by a relationship, especially one with a possessive younger man, which you demonstrate next: She can do it w/ her husband, but otherwise... i feel sorry for the guy who tries. IF you look at every girl as being someone elses sister, you learn to back off.

I am willing to bet based on hearing that, she may be already having sex....all those girls at the Christain school above everyone thought were virgins and they were treated like little girls by adults....toys like stuffed animals, school and bible things, etc were what they got from relatives...they all had their 'going out' clothes they hid.

I do look at every girl as someone's sister or daughter, and I get a cheap thrill thrawting their plans to 'scare me'...it's always fun handing a big brother his a$$ or when the cops show up the cuffs get put on the father (sure the daugther is upset about it, but she always is calling back, usually that same day).

You may have your beliefs and that is good, just don't go making claims on how you have any clue how the world really works nor try to impose your non-realistic beliefs on others. It's laughable.

Although I agree with nearly everything you said in your previous post don't sit here and say there's nothing intimidating about sex, especially the first time. I know my first time was 'scary' as hell.

You guys are looking at it wrong. You don't "lose your virginity", you "gain sexual experience".

Virginity is not a virtue. It is the lack of sexual experience and maturity that comes with childhood. You don't "lose" anything, and you gain a lot.

? What does that mean? I was 21 when I lost my virginity. To my wife. I had turned down sex at least 5 times before that, and could have easily gotten it many more times if I had gone looking for it.
