The Mayan calander is a paradigm shift, not the end of the world.

it may not be end of the world but somethings gonna happend but we dont know what.

sure its grinds our gears when someone said it is end of the world and sure its grind our gear when a follow-upper said "its not the end of the world.... it just paradigm shift and plate plate ect... science stuff"

being prepare better then dont. something gonna happend. weather it is global earthquake or dollar change to penny. we dont know.

Bullshit. This planet has been around for billions of years and the Mayans couldn't have known our economy would collapse on that day or forecasted a catastrophic earthquake thousands of years ago.

I will be on this forum on the 22nd checking out Hot Deals and telling the people in P&N that their government is working against them no matter which side they pick, as usual.

I'm honestly kind of excited to live through what I'll live through in my lifetime.

How will the baby boomers play out in their retirement?
What is the end game for Japan?
How does society react to competition for oil?
How high can the national debt go, a quadrillion? Lol!
When will it become blatantly stupid to ship goods 18,000 miles?
What will happen when Gen X and Gen Y finally take charge?
Will the Eurozone break apart in my lifetime?
Will China actually become a world power?
Will India stop being poor?
Will Japan be the mecca for education and engineering?

etc.

People will over dramatize anything that happens on 12/21. "OMG...3 car crash on the freeway! Must be due to 12/21."

Most of them will starve why 401k crash and housing. Medical bills will finish off the ones that have good pensions.
What is the end game for Japan? I don't know what you mean but Japan is finished it will not get back to it's glory days.
How does society react to competition for oil?
Want to know this too
How high can the national debt go, a quadrillion? Lol!
yes
When will it become blatantly stupid to ship goods 18,000 miles?
It is now the cost has gone up about 4X since 2000
What will happen when Gen X and Gen Y finally take charge?
They will, but only the ones that didn't do pot. Hippies can't live forever. They will do the same shit the hippies are doing now.
Will the Eurozone break apart in my lifetime?
Yes it will and it might happen soon if not than in the next 20 years.
Will China actually become a world power?
China is a world power but they will have a better military in about 10 years.
Will India stop being poor?
Not in our life time but it also depends of your definition of what is "poor" Will the other 90% of the population without toilets, have them in the next 20 years ?No they won't
Will Japan be the mecca for education and engineering?
Japan is finished they will not crawl back up again. They will struggle to remain at the current levels.

etc.
I hope this answers your questions():)

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

I've always got more than enough toilet paper on hand. Running out would be a huge failure.

Don't forget plastic sheets and duct tape too.

There might be an earthquake or 2 but nothing thats going to end the world.
