inspired by the tall thread... both of my parents are tall -- mom is 6', dad is 6'4". my sister and I are both short, though 🙁 she's 5'6" and I'm 5'7-8" (though my doc martens give me a little boost 😛)

I've got a working theory that my mom had an affair. lol. both of my parents have dark brown hair, I have blond/light brown... my mom has blue eyes, dad has brown, and I somehow ended up with green 😕 meanwhile, I'm almost the spitting image of one of my dad's younger brothers, except in eye color and weight (he has blue eyes and is rail thin from spending his entire adult life as an alcoholic)

I'm 6'1" and dad was 5'10" and my mom was 5'6". My sister is about 5'7".

Shorter than both - Dad is 5'8", mother is 5'5", I'm 4'10". 🙁 My growth was stunted by a medical condition...but in all honesty I don't think I would've ever gotten taller than 5'2", which is more in line with the other women in my mother's family.

Taller(and also taller than all my half-brothers(6), half-sisters(4), and my sister too). Father was 5'6"(RIP), Mother is 5'3" and I am 6'. My tallest half-brother is 5'7", tallest half-sister is 5'6" and my sister is only 4'11".

the typical rule is find the average height between both parents, then add 6 inches for a male and subtract 6 inches for a female.
