It's a higher performance Boxster coupe that will eventually replace the 911

Replace the 911?!

Ask Anand. He seems to be more up on Porsche stuff than me :p But that's what the word on the street is. By 2010, the Cayman will kill off the 911.

Wow... that's only 4-5 years from now :brokenheart:... they've tried killing it before... you think it'll work this time? :(

The Cayman is already lapping the Ring faster than a stock 997 so its performance won't be in question. It's the diehards that you'll have to worry about.

They bitched and moaned with the 996 switched to water-cooling. Kill the RWD Porsche altogether may send them over the edge (if the Cayenne and forthcoming Panamera hasn't already).

Holy crap, that thing is small! How much does it weigh? Will it have AWD? 295hp in that little bitty thing!!? :D

Does Porsche have optional DSG-II transmission or do they still use the older Tiptronic?

Wasn't it the Cayman S lapping the 'Ring faster than the 997 S?

It's about time they retired that rear engine design.
