I'm so excited. I'll also be back in Colorado Sunday for the first game, so that'll be fun.

Agree, though across the country in Michigan. I was planning on having some of my buddies over to my house for the Detroit/NYG Monday Nighter, but I got invited to one of theirs.

Can't wait till tonight's game either.

As much as I don't like Thursday games, this is easily the best game all year! That first Thursday game means football season has official kicked off! And, it is two good teams looking to set the pace early. This game should be exciting.

I think Green Bay is going to take it, but only because Seattle is going to struggle early adjusting to the new contact rules and give up some unnecessary first downs, which Rodgers will take full advantage of. I also think Lacy is going to beast this year and be one of the top 5 RBs.

And LOL, apparently, Nick Sabin thinks McCain is going to be great for the Cowboys...

Green Bay at Seattle
New Orleans at Atlanta
Minnesota at St. Louis
Cleveland at Pittsburgh
Jacksonville at Philadelphia
Oakland at NY Jets
Cincinnati at Baltimore
Buffalo at Chicago
Washington at Houston
Tennessee at Kansas City
New England at Miami
Carolina at Tampa Bay
San Francisco at Dallas
Indianapolis at Denver
NY Giants at Detroit
San Diego at Arizona

I love Thursday Night games because I know the weekend is nigh, and there is nothing wrong with an extra game during the week to watch.

FWIW, the Monday night games are generally putrid nowadays, so that game has been replaced by TNF depending on the matchup.

He actually looked pretty decent in the pre-season, and I think it'd have been better if Lee was healthy as well.

I know =/

I have Rodgers as my starting QB too. I'm a little worried, but I don't know if I want to put Brady in instead.

anybody got johnny football in their fantasy league? hahaha

My buddy drafted him. We all had a good laugh.

He's of the opinion that he'll be starting by week 4. We told him that doesn't change a damn thing and laughed even harder, which prompted him to give us the finger.

Good times

mr 'I have achieved everything I have wanted so what do I have to play for now'?

I expect him to slide some, unless he gets his panties all twisted up again

In case I haven't been clear, I think Rodgers is going to be the most dominant QB in the league this year.

That being said, I am starting Wilson. And I would bet any amount of money on Seattle. The team, their fans, everyone is going to show up beyond pumped up. Hell I'd bet $20 on the water boy hitting someone by the end of the game.

TNF will benefit hugely if it was broadcast free instead of only on the NFL network. at least today's game is on nbc.

edit - wow, post below is right. it is on cbs. nice.

so, espn MNF is the only thing that $uck$ - being not on OTA. hmmmm....

Is the rest of the season of Thursday night getting multi-cast to CBS?

nah, Sunday night has been the marquee game of the week, for as long as they have been doing it. Thursday have generally been the weakest games of the week, because they have been limited to NFL network the last 2-3 years.

Jacksonville on Sunday? not yet and not any time soon. On Thursday? A few weeks/season, if I recall correctly.

I have zero confidence in Jim Caldwell as a HC. Guy has a 26-63 college record as a HC. He inherited a world class offense run by Peyton and then showed his true worth as a coach when they went 3-13 after Peyton was out. Detroit has better pieces than that team did at the time, but they are also in a very tough conference. Chicago and Green Bay are elite offenses and Minnesota is going to be a sneaky good team.

He's the polar opposite of Schwartz when it comes to personality but I don't think he has any more HC scruples than Jimmy Handshake.

Take it from an expert on Jim Caldwell -- you're right to have zero confidence. 😀

How the fuck do you suspend an owner for 6 games? He should be banned from football operations for a specific amount of time.

That is exactly what the suspension is -- he is not allowed to be involved in any of the operations, at the games, at practices, or at the Colts complex for 6 weeks.
