Yeah, unfortunately, many black people are pretty much brought up to be rude, have no respect for others, & have no morals (either from poor parenting, a bad situation to start with, peer pressure to fit into their race, or the saddest of all the music). The same goes for hispanics & white people as well.
I really don't hate any race. I just hate what some have come to represent. I have some really good black friends that I believe try to live above the mold (I live in St. Louis, so you pretty much either get along with black people or spend your life avoiding them). In the same regard, I know some white people that I'm emberassed to have represent my race (and I'm sure blacks feel the same way about some of their peers). So, I don't believe that I hate any race. I just really hate some character classes.
Oddly, the orientals (for those not familiar, that would be those that live in the Asian continent) don't let those things drag themselves down & they try to excel in everything & usually end up making a better life for themselves like people in America were intended to.

above the mold... ABOVE. And mold as in a preset form for shaping things. I hope you're kidding (you know, they won't accept their lot in live as hating white people & chose to make something of their lives despite not being in the best of circumstances).
Yeah, Orientals.... You know, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Taiwanese, etc. Even the Indonesians.
Maybe I should have said Easterners?
They just have a pride about improving themselves (no matter their status) that Westerners don't have. And no, I'm not oriental. Just something I've observed.

I'm a little biased against Hispanics because when I was 8 and at a babysitter's apartment playing in the communcal play area, some kids didn't like me and wanted trouble so they told their mom's boyfriend that I had threatened to beat them up. The bf was Hispanic and thought it would be a good idea to come outside, walk right up to me, look me in the eye, and say "if you don't leave those kids alone I'll cut your head off, put you in a bag, and dump you in the river."

This is something I've always found fascinating as well. It's not like Asian minorities in the United States haven't had their share of hardships (Japanese-American internment during WWII comes to mind immediately), yet most seem to do very well. However, generations after the fact, many African Americans still complain about the man keeping them down and blame everybody except themselves and their culture. Not trying to downplay slavery, it was a horrible time in our history, but I think it's time to let go of the past and stop making excuses.
Of course, such rational thinking is likely to get someone labeled as a racist in our overly PC society.

No. Grew up in a predominantly white neighborhood, but there were considerable populations of practically every other race. I have Hispanic, Black, Asian, Indian, and Pacific Islander (literally) friends.
I judge people by their personality/who they are. Some negative traits are common among certain races. That's a verifiable fact. Doesn't make me racist for saying it.

I'm not reading through seven pages (or more) of posts.
It doesn't have to be negative to be racism. If you assume a larger black man is a good athlete, a nerdy looking asian is smart/good at math/computers or that a jew is good with money, that's being a racist.
Also a racist thought doesn't have to invoke burning hatred or anthing. You may simply do something a little different w/ someone of a different race around.
Anyone who says they are immune to all this... I'll say BS as well.

this is how I would summarize it.
When I was really young (up until 2nd grade), I was the minority in my school. maybe 2 white kids per class. Neighborhood was quickly changing color, too. This town was also extremely racist on each side. it also didn't help that the older brother of my best friend was a neo-nazi. he painted swastikas everywhere, named their cat Hitler, etc. I was probably more racist then than I am now (I did have a few black friends at that age, but rarely hung out. most of my friends were pretty damn racist, but that was b/c they had much older brothers than i did--and all of them rednecks)

If not a separate race, at the very least an enigma. Remember, the south was primarily populated by criminals and undesirables from england and europe in the 16-1700s.
These comments make me prejudiced - not racist. And it looks like prejudice is not entirely accurate.

Like others have said in the thread. Im not racist, but there are personality traits that i dont like, and they seem to be more popular among some of the minority races.
Im white, i have 2 good friends that are black, 2 asian friends, 3 hispanic, and probably 10 or so white.

I had this girlfriend in college that thought she knew everything and she had extremely liberal views on everything. I went to a school that was about 45% black, and I had some racist views against blacks. The girlfriend on the other hand grew up in Houston (Woodlands) and she had very little interaction with black people. She acted totally disgusted with me if I made any racist remarks towards black people.
One day, the subject of Mexicans came up. She went off on this long racist rant about how much she hated Mexicans. I had very little contact with Mexicans growing up, so I had to bad feelings towards them.
