My desired weight for my height is about 155-160. Unfortunately, creme brulee, ice cold root beer on ice and other forms of ambrosia have taken their toll recently. I am just shy of my all time weight of 190 lbs, clocking in at 183 @ 5.8. D:

Are you above or below your weight limit?

According to BMI, I am overweight.

However, I am a powerlifter, which makes BMI a silly guage. My body fat hovers around 10%.

About 10-15 over the high. Desk job will do that 🙁
Use to be about 25over but cut back. Still like to get in the 170-180 range.

Chart doesn't cover my height :^P

I'm pretty much on target. I'm a little softer than I'd like to be, but not overweight.

Is the intent that as long as you fall within the low-high range, you want us to vote "on/near target"?

Regardless, I'm within 3 lb of the target, so that's what I'll vote.

Mr. Kat, sorry but you are a glutton. Repent at your local diocese and may God have mercy on your soul.

And, no. At 5'7", i'm 145, below my target weight. I'll take that.

Looks like I need to gain 15 lbs... Who the fuck came up with these numbers? I can't imagine running 5 miles with an extra 15 lbs, or cycling for 40 miles with the extra baggage. I like it the way it is. Fuck that chart.

There's other charts out there that include differences for Height's, but frames builds like small, medium and large. Yea, it matters what frame you have. I know a guy who's my height, but like 6 inches wider than me, he's got 20lbs. on me easy.

There is all sorts of issues with these charts for people who dont lead sedentary lifestyles. I played college football. I was well past the weight on the high side. But I also in better shape than 99% of people within the country.

Most people think that, and most people are wrong. Most would look skinny or fit depending on the fat to muscle ratio, but they would not look like a starving kid from Ethiopia.

I used to weigh 195 and looked very skinny. 200 would be about right for me. I'm currently 232 (down from 282 several years ago).

Contrary to popular belief, looking like you're about to blow away in the wind is not healthy nor attractive.

I tried to explain this to 2 heavier female friends of mine the other day too. It didn't go over well.

But I understand, I used to think the same thing myself.

F 5'6" 127 pounds (used to be 188 pounds)
