Are you over 21 and still enjoy computer games?

So my gf is under the impression that no one "my age" (22) plays computer games anymore, nor should they I assume.

If you enjoy playing computer games on a regular basis (not like once every 6 months, but regularly) speak up here.

Thanks

EDIT Added "do not game anymore" to poll

First of all.. don't listen to your GF! I'm 23 and while I still do enjoy playing games, I've lost considerable interest in most of them except the games I'm good at.

QFT... but beofre you do that show us pics. naughty ones preferred. actually naughty videos would be the best

ask her if she enjoys watching stupid girly shows on TV like OC or whatever, or if she buys anything because its "cute". if so tell her to STFU. tell her i said it. yeah me.

im 25 about to be 26 and bought a DS Lite last weekend, now i really cant get into the latest 3D games (exception of good ones like half life 2, rise of nations, etc), and i dont spend 25% of the time of what i used to back in HS and college, but i still play it.

25 and play BF2 on a regular basis... I also like Flight Sim 2004.

I usually only play when my girl is working though and drop everything as soon as she walks through the door unless everything is almost over. I would play a lot more often if I didn't have so many projects to do around the house or wasn't in Grad school. I'm sure I'll play more games in the next couple of years after I finish up school and these major house renovations.

I'm 43, and I still play computer games. I have a job, house, wife, and 2 kids. It's hard to find the time, but I love the games.

Essentially.

The first generation to have grown up with Ataris, NESs, etc. hasn't given up gaming, and surveys have shown the average gamer to be 28-31 now.

^ Scroll halfway down, or do an F3 search for 'average'

Yup. Original Atari addict here. I played River Raid (I think that's the name) with the separate keypad that really didn't do anything...for about a year straight. :D

37 here and I'm as addicted to FPS as anyone else. :D

I'm 36 and an avid gamer. I have a PC solely for gaming and a PS2. I grew up with Space Invaders, Asteroids, etc. been playing since I was about 10.

The only game I still is probably counter-strike and maybe starcraft. My celeron and fx5600xt cannot run any graphic intense games (ie, all the good ones).

I still play and am 25. I have a wife who understands, one kid and one on the way, and a 60 hour+ week job. Many people have hobbies. I feel as long as I dedicate time to other things, a few hours a week to unwind (instead of watching TV, etc) is okay.

The only real difference is now I limit what games I play. Before I would buy and try everything. Now, I realize I simply won't have enough time to beat Oblivion, NFS:MS, GRAW, HL2, etc. So, I pick and choose more.

I still play BF2 on a weekly basis with one of my friends. My wife (who likes the occasional game of SSX or puzzle game from Xbox Live Arcade, but is by no means a gamer) even allowed me to purchase and upgrade 3 gaming computers (one for me, two for my guests.) One of my Christmas presents last year was a 7800GT.

Dump the girlfriend for bashing your hobby. Video games are a multibillion dollar market and are rivaling even Hollywood. It is an accepted form of entertainment and even builds bonds between friends.

I play games in my spare time, but I never make spare time to play video games. Real Life or WoW take your pick...

I'm 30 and I still play, though not as much as when I was in High School (would be very difficult to play that much now, even if I wanted to).

It is one of my hobbies, I have several others.
