Don't really have any issues I can specifically put down to the graphics card, but I do get annoyed about the spotty releases and endless betas that NVidia seem to like half-releasing.
I have given up on changing drivers because I just can't be bothered to figure out what I should be running.

Some stuff crashes, and I don't know if that's a graphics card driver issue, or related to something else. I'm not going to blame the graphics drivers, but I'm still unhappy with them for being rather lacking. An they have problems with their crappy new control panel.

Yes, it is. I personally think that this is very telling, as well. As a whole, those with problems with ATi's drivers hated them so much they switched, and are now half-happy as a whole with nVidia's drivers. This is of course completely IMO.

For a while, ATI had major issues with their newer AGP cards, that has been corrected and I am happy once more with my desktop card:)

Having to modify nvidia's inf files to get new drivers to work on my laptop:thumbsdown:

Lithan, here?s the saved game file:

http://www.mediafire.com/?1xzi2muzyvv

Put it into your UO\Save\Autosave directory and it'll appear in the game?s load screen.

Be sure to have full dynamic lighting enabled in the game and then move around the area by the fence when the flare is in the air and you'll see multiple hitches and stutters.

But like I said this problem only happens on G8x hardware or later.

Voodoo 3 -> Geforce 256 -> Geforce 2 Pro -> Radeon 9700 Pro -> Geforce 6800GT -> Radeon x1950

I've generally felt Nvidia has always had the fastest when I bought them and when I had the cash, but overall I think the best purchase I ever made was Ati's 9700 pro, what a great value. If I have the extra money to spend, I'd buy Nvidia just to splurge and have peace of mind knowing I can't buy any better, but these days I think Ati cards suit me just fine, and cost less too.

As for driver support, I still hate CCC and often avoid installing it, and prefer the Nvidia control panel, but I am glad that Ati regularly releases new drivers. I remember being slightly annoyed that Nvidia just stopped supporting certain Geforce cards when they moved away from unified.

No issues here, but I am running old tech single card. What can go wrong?

Same but I do have one minor complaint:
I wish nvidia would release WHQL drivers more often and support their older series cards as well, rather than releasing like 20 beta drivers that are hit or miss with the cards before decided they should put out a new WHQL driver.

Yeah that sucks. Problem seems to be when two effects stack, one being the dynamic lights (for instance, the dynamic lighting of the smoke). Smoke gets lit up like a cat on crack with dynamic lights on. Game looks better with them disabled, but hopefully they'll fix em eventually. I wouldn't hold my breath though, given as it's COD 1 and COD 4 is out now. Doesn't really bother me all that much. The dynamic lighting in that game was nothing special.

This is my first ATI card in years (my last ATI card was a Radeon 7200 if I remember right). I plan on continuing to buy ATI based cards because of how happy I am with their drivers and frequent releases.

I've had 5 ATI cards and 4 nVidia cards. ATI drivers worked very well for me. The most problems I had was when I bought the 8800GTS 640 on launch day. There were several driver problems which I think were eventually fixed but it definitely left a bit of a bad taste for me. Next card for me will definitely be ATI.

So you managed to replicate the problem then? Just curious, what card did you use?
