No. I've lived here all my life, I'm more than ready to GTFO.
Always had difficulty finding a job here, since the day I turned 16. I've spent more time working outside of town, than in town.
Now that my skills consist of almost entirely IT, there's a large lack of qualifying positions in a commutable distance. With Chicago's abundance of qualifying positions outside of my commutable distance, with condition my car is in, I'm pretty much screwed.
I finish school end of this month. I have a cousin in Cali, and a friend in Vegas that could help me get set up if I relocated. So I'm starting to look more into job opportunities in that direction.

Oooh Joliet. When I was in on my 63-day cross country road trip, This Motel 6 in Joliet had the best/cleanest/neatest lodging of all my trips, especially for $45/night.

It even beat MGM Grand in Vegas np.

I'm sure it would be a *huge* PITA to spend so much time commuting initially, but couldn't you take the train downtown, if you could find a position there? Deal with it for a while, then fix up the car or buy a new one. :) I know of a few people that used to commute from Plainfield to downtown, though they did it by car.

I'm in Central WI.

I love my house and I'm close to work. There's beautiful scenery and proximity to water.

On the downside, there's no racial or ethnic diversity, and the people aren't particularly friendly.

No I do not like it. I made the mistake of living where I want to work, not working where I want to live :(

Nothing like working in Philiadelphia years ago to make that truth obvious to me. Realized that there are electric utilities everywhere, and why shouldn't I work for one in a nice place. Been happily living (and working) in the Pacific Northwest ever since!

Overall: No.

Dislike: Illegals, ridiculous housing prices (especially considering how shitty most neighborhoods are), poor access to good stuff, insane drivers and rotten traffic lights, no job that anyone will hire me for (related to the illegals), and lack of quality shooting ranges at reasonable prices, local college stinks.

Like: Easy to get guns and concealed carry permits (also no registration), the nearby Hooters has the nicest girls in the area (though thats a mixed blessing), at least there is a local college so I can knock out an associates before I go to a better school, relatively mild weather compared to most places I've lived, our economy is still doing better than most of the country so I guess me personally not having a job isnt too bad.

This is where I want to be. I just wish that 90% of the folks here would move somewhere else, like maybe move in with shorty.

percent, just say percent.

And thats unlikely to happen. I believe in the 2nd amendment. Anyone who invades my home is going to be unhappy.

They're Arizonans. They come out of the womb carrying more guns than you'll ever have.

Like: moderately quiet, little crime, nice enough people
Dislike: Way too crowded, way too many people (Pop. density of 4,684.2/sq mi as of 2000)

If I am ever fortunate enough, I would like to live somewhere with more space and less congestion.

Like: uh, my garden is looking nice this year.
Dislike: way too busy. Town grew too fast. Constant traffic noise 24/7. Congested. The beautiful view I once had for 20 years is now blocked by a mini mall and (allegedly) illegally built homes. New people in town are really rude.

I'd like to move out of the Toronto area but I don't know where I'll go. Have to focus on getting full time work first.

I live in San Diego near the coast. I love the climate, temperatures are typically in the 70-80s during the day and down in the 60s at night. It gets down in the 50s and even the high 40s overnight during the winter but that's about the coldest it ever gets. It almost never rains and most days are sunny and pleasant...ironically, that's also one of the things I don't like about it. I kind of wish it would rain more often and I miss the autumn in upstate NY where I grew up.

There is a ton of stuff to do here though, you can go to the beach, or the mountains which are only an hour or two away, there are many attractions nearby along with many many great restaurants. The thing I hate the most is the traffic though.

Yes, I am happy with were I live.

hate: anything else i didn't mention

From a nature standpoint, Colorado is really nice. I love the mountains and scenery. The mild winters are good. The dry-heat isn't so heavy (still fucking hot though). That said, I really miss Wisconsin for the greenery, lakes, and the more well-rounded and colorful seasons...especially Fall.

Olathe, KS (K.C. suburb)

Like:
Neighborhood, cost of living

Dislike:
Hot/Humid summers, cold winters, very bland landscape, not many outdoor activities to do.

Looking at moving to CO most likely in 5 years or so.

Love the city I live in, and major city that it is a suburb of.
I wouldn't change a thing to be honest.

Nothing... NOTHING beats the fall season. Especially in WI and similar areas. (I'm in MKE)
