I love my job but the pay sucks but that's ok because I'm happy. Truely. I work in the therapeutic industry with not advanced degree. I work 8 days on then have 6 days off. Typically have 24 weeks off a year and my bosses are AWESOME.

stuck in a dead end job in a field that i want to get out of. all the jobs available in the area suck.

i want to go back to school but have no idea what i want to do. i really need to set up a time to talk to someone at the local CC.

I hear ya. I already made the decision to get out of the field I got my degree (for a lot of reasons but its been in the top ten worst jobs category for several years now) and I mostly enjoy the job I have now, but there is 0 room for advancement. With the restructuring I would actually have to take a demotion to a considerably shittier job in order to be back on the path of advancement (with a span of 5-8 years to get where I would want and deal with a termination rate of 60% before getting there)

But I don't know what else I would want to do

Some of us are aware of what you 'have to do' for your job so please don't rub it in :frown: :)

I like my job and the company I work for -- I wouldn't have been here 11+ years if I didn't. Sure I could handle making more money but I'd rather be happy doing what I do every day than making a few more bucks.

I'm medically disabled due to a work comp injury and am getting paid (rather well) to go to school...I LOVE IT!

As much as I hated school when I was in high school, I was very aprehensive about going to college...even community college.

I've found that I love the challenge, I compete very well against the younger students in my classes, (yes, it IS a competition for grades) and I'm enjoying learning.

Too dammed bad I didn't enjoy school so much when I was younger.

Given the choice, 99.9% of people woudl rather stay at home than go to work for the day. I don't care what your job is or how it makes you feel.

My wife would disagree. The hours can suck (6:00AM staffing, nights/weekends/ect) and sometimes the management can be a joke, but the work itself is something that she absolutely loves to do. She would go insane sitting at home.

It doesn't hurt that she gets paid incredibly well to do something that she loves.

As for me, I'm pretty lazy by nature and would rather sit at home and play video games. But that's just not an option :p. So I work at a job that I enjoy, but wouldn't go so far as to say I love.

It's been years yet you're still resorting to gay jokes, I see. What does that say about you?

A meek slice and a tepid, baited retreat. Some things never change.

Much as I'd love to continue, just a brief poke around and it seems you're the same old alkemyst as you always were. I'm so sorry; you're not worth anything more than this post.

you wouldn't be the quality of material I'd look to hire anyway. I am glad you have just a fond memory of me...if he have crossed paths in the past you unfortunately have been miserably unrememberable.

$50,000+ to sit in a call center and help people with computer problems... Works for me. ANd it's actually a really fun place with great people which makes it even better.

After being in the military for 8 years I'll take just working with decent people and hopefully the pay gets better. I do quite enjoy the fact that if I dislike my boss I can quit. In the military I had to put up with them. Ugh, it sucked. So I'm happy but I'd like more pay to be completely happy.

I have a higher workload and more responsibility than people who make 20-30% more than I do. If I only knew what I really wanted to do..
