There's at least 100 members on this board that have been given my full name and mailing address.

QFT my thoughts exactly.Originally posted by: Amused
Not scared. Protective. I refuse to reveal my name unless everyone else reveals theirs. I don't much like other people knowing more about me than I know of them.
It's like getting a call from a restricted number, and the person asking who you are. You'd be a fool to answer.
I would not be opposed to the end of anonymity on the web, though. It would make people more accountable for their words and actions. Imagine the civility if every internet user had to have a valid ID and was as accountable on the web as they are in the real world.

Personally I don't care but I know many of you seem to be pretty private about it. I'd rather call someone by their real name instead of a username.

only use my real name in real life please.
btw, I didn't know about the facebook group either... how much can people from groups see? Your whole profile as if they were a friend or just the profile pic and list of friends?

I've used FS/FT here, so a few people know it and it does not really bother me. I'm sure if anyone ever really wanted to track me down it would not be that hard anwyay, whether I had told them my name or not.

You just don't want to make it too easy in case the "internet hate machine" shows up at AT.

I've tried to do my best not to mention the company I work for or my own name, at least not in a way that would be easily google'able (though I can't imagine it'd be that hard to find out if someone really wanted to...

Mine's in my profile...oh well.. I think I've given up much anonymity by having an active Facebook account.
Call me Buddha or by my real name; it's all good.
