Exactly the same. Though people looking for jobs are far better off now; 671,000 jobs lost in January of this year, and nearly a year later just 11,000 jobs lost last month. That certainly can't all be attributed to Obama, but gov't stimulus and bailouts without question deserve massive consideration. Bailouts in particular, which is disgusting and still leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but at least we might get reform out of bailout uproar on both sides of the political spectrum (er, someday...).

I am better off because I have a job and got a raise this year in a deflationary economy.

Lets see the recession started in 12/2007 right?

My natural sympathy and feeling for fools has been tested and broken such that now all I want to do is piss in their faces, these, my fellow brothers and fellow Americans, who, it turns out, are brain dead puss sacks full of rancid infection, consumed by self hate, and bent on the destruction of justice and reason.

To see yourself as a Conservative,,,,like you noted there,,,,it's a real bitch, huh?

I don't think the question is of any use now, since Obama inherited a crashing econony. The measure for him is how well he's dealt with the crash. Which I give him mixed marks on.

I'm doing exactly the same from a year ago. To anyone expecting a quick fix to an economic shitstorm, you're a dreamer.

Let's ask this question again in 2011. Or more importantly 2012. Asking it now means exactly jack shit, unless you expect Congress to flip in '10... I won't predict that.

All of us real Americans are better off especially watching Republicans and the OP sniveling like fucking babies and idiots that they are.

In the words of the Visa commercials, it is "priceless". 😀

You are some kind of fucked up.

Coming from a self professed "Possessed Freak" that's a great compliment.

LOL, WTF is that format-breaking laughable excuse of an Internet insult?

You embarass yourself by posting it...

Our company filed for bankruptcy and my job doesnt look terrible secure after Feb 1st.

Genx87, I'm not sure if I have you confused with someone else, but aren't you a developer that lives in MN?

My company is hiring 2 atm, we are located in St. Cloud area.

PM if you want to talk, and yes I'm serious.

Same. Besides, you can't expect a guy to turn around in a year the problems that it took the neoconservatives three decades to create.

Edit: From the poll results it appears that the overwhelming majority of the site's visitors are doing the same or better. I am surprised by that given the state of our economy. I'm also very comforted by the results in the face of these challenging times. The way the mainstream media reports it you would think that massive death/suffering and rioting in the streets are just around the corner.

Yes, people who lost well paying tech jobs really want to be wall-mart greeters or flip burgers.

There are still a lot of well paying tech jobs. A lot of tech companies are, in fact, hiring. No offense to those people, but, um, maybe they should be better at what they do? Or learn to interview better?

The stock market's up what? 30+%? The economy isn't on the edge of a cliff anymore. Economic indicators aren't heading south any longer. It's a no brainer.

Hopefully president Obama's plan to have the TARP money redirected to the private sector businesses will go through but the GOP are fighting this too 😱

No kidding. The dumb ass Repubs want to pay down a tiny bit of the debt with it. Dumbasses don't realize that we are eventually going to default so fuck paying a little bit off. I say we max out the credit cards instead.

Edit: Back OT, so far I would say I am slightly better off. However next year is going to outstanding thanks in part to all the free "green" money Obama is handing out. Between the Feds and the state some projects can get .gov to cover almost 80% of the entire project and if that wasn't enough, if we get any real action out of the EPA or Congress my business will triple.

Which kind of "real American" votes for Bush like you did, Bush-lover?
