hahah - don't play stupid. Its obvious that the graph is trying to make the increase between 2009 and the (forecasted) numbers for 2012 much larger than it is. Ignorant to the subject of graph making? Please - I'm just NOT ignorant to your attempts at deception.

The fact of the matter is that over a 17 year period the nation debt increased by 6 trillion dollars.

Over a 2 year period under a Democrat controlled congress the national debt increased by 4 trillion dollars.

Over the next 3 year period under a Democrat controlled congress the national debt is projects to increase another 4 trillion dollars.

That is one of my sore points as well, witness Mann et al's hockey stick graph. Graphs should be linear unless the data require one or more non-linear axes, and if so should be very carefully labeled for clarity.

The point, though - that the Democrat Congress is spending much faster than even the Republican Congress that pretty much everyone agrees was terribly irresponsible - still stands.

Not that it is a surprise but the Anus graph is hosted at gop.gov.

I imagine their next graph will explain how the republican party and Dubs paid for the 2001 & 2003 tax cuts, 2 Wars, Part D, NCLB and a 70% increase in the DoD budget.
