I could try running one too. Have a couple of different role ideas I've seen elsewhere but I'd mostly copy pasta penguin's setup (and see what people thought).
 
Alrighty then! Next game sign ups will open Jan. 2nd.
Day 1 starts Jan. 4th.
I'll be traveling on business from the 4th thru 7th, will be on in the evenings.

I'm going to need you to go ahead and come in on New Years to run the game. We, uhhh, lost some people last game and we sorta need to play again to cheer them up. Mmmmmkay? Thaaaaaanks.

Can we maybe experiment with having a ghost chat room? Obviously anything you might learn there would have to be kept confidential, but it would give people who have been eaten or lynched to still participate and commiserate.

How about the ghosts can speak to each other and Randomly a word or sentence can echo in the night.

The first part would be great. I think we can rely on the honor system for no one to go back to their team's chat and reveal anything - for the people that have one. Not sure about the second part. I will defer to the opinion of people who have run games in the past (or currently on other forums).

Yea, might be too much work...
 
I'm fine with a chat for the dead (like Limbo) as the game master can monitor all chats to ensure everything is on the up and up. I do not think they should have any influence over or impact on the game.

What if the game has a medium where their only ability is to hear exactly one word (maybe even with a character length limitation) :hmm:

Kidding. We could always try the medium option to see how it works. But I'll be happy with just a chat room for the dead. It drives me crazy when I'm out of the game and I see something and want to ask a question or make a comment. And since we have more people now, games are going to be longer so it's really going to suck if you get nailed in the first couple cycles - well potentially anyway.

I think there should be an ability for the wolves also. How about allowing wolf role who had a one-time ability to force villagers to switch roles? It could be either scramble the roles for everyone in the village, or force selected villager to swap roles with another random villager. For example in this last game they could have used it on Xed, shifting his Seer power to another villager and Xed becoming their role in return.
