That picture is nearly 1000x1000, plenty big.

This is what I see:

No yellow bar, follow the source link and it's just the same tiny image.

I'm confused.

Weird. What browser are you using? I haven't tried it on a computer yet, but it works fine for me on tapatalk. I can open the image and zoom in.

PM's are allowed
That's what I thought, but PP's rules prohibit them.

This game was really interesting because of the overlap between masons and other roles. Except you have no idea what sort of coordination there is because you can't know who's been recruited.

Does anyone think that this gives the masons an advantage? I know that they risk death if they recruit a wolf so it's only fair to give them some reward when they succeed. But if they get lucky like they did here, the game ends up being stacked against the wolves.

Is there any variation of the rules where the wolves can also recruit and face the same penalties as a mason if they guess wrong?

Having more cursed could help with this without changing the rules! :)

I read somewhere that in a completely basic game (only wolves and villagers), the wolves' chance of winning is approximately equal to the (# of wolves) / sqrt(total players). Of course, we play with a ton of special classes which skews that incredibly.

The fact that the two bodyguards, completely oblivious of each other, kept taking turns to protect Xed REALLY hurt the wolves.

I'll run another one after New Year's unless someone else wants to give it a go and let me play.

Yes, we should give PP a chance to play again. I'd volunteer to run a game but right now I'm barely able to do simple deductions during game play. I'm pretty sure it would be a disaster.

Yea, a known seer who can't die is GG on the wolves.

But I fought as hard as I could.

The biggest difference with forum games is that everything said is remembered; in a face-to-face you can slink around such problems.

Just out of curiosity, Dixy, did you have any clue to eat me? I was the last original mason.

None; I just figured I used Dwight Schrute's logic:
"It's always the one you suspect the least
But that means you suspect the person you suspect the least the most
So it's really always the one you suspect the medium-est"

I've run games in the past, they were okay...
If there are no other volunteers, I'd be happy to run a game.

I think that may have made sense.

Awesome. Running games can be a lot of fun; 'god mode' knowledge is awesome; but you always envy the folks who aren't in the know.

Hey it worked out. Go Village.

@Char Once the Masons recruited me it eliminated most people as possible wolves and it was down to Dixy and Krazy in our discussions after Storma had to be sacrificed.

It's happening to me on chrome, tapatalk, and opera. Logged in to anandtech and logged out. Even on my amazon kindle fire hdx in silk browser, same deal.

It's not my Verizon FIOS either, was happening from my computer at work too and we don't use Verizon. Very odd.

I do see the yellow bar for every other image, including the governor image on the top of the same page, just not for penguin's postmortem.

Thanks. Yeah, the way you guys were zooming in on targets made it look like you were almost psychic. It made me scared to be a wolf. :(

I think I might know what it is. When you click on the images for the direct link, can you zoom in to 100%? When I click on some direct image links Chrome zooms me out to 20%.
