Sadly, the Trumpanzees STILL think he's the best president since...forever.

Nothing seems to sink in for them.

Everything wrong in our country is the fault of those damned libruls...everything stupid or illegal he does is fake news.

Blackmailing states, mail in ballots vs fed help ... how the fuck is that not "Id like you to do me a favor though" part 2.0? Why are they not running impeachment proceedings right now? Firing of IG's? Is he not required to give Congress 30 days warning?

When Ford Pardoned Nixon, the Imperial Presidency was pretty much cemented into stone. Reagan broke laws and he was, uh, real sorry about it or whatever. Bush. various wars, flooded cities - look forward!

So, this should come as no surprise to anyone. Congress is Article I and has the power to take action, but half the Senate and close to half of the House only cares about power and more tax cuts. Everything else is ancillary to that.

Republicans only care about the rule of law, deficits, the debt, etc, when a Democrat is in the White House and able to take credit for spending. Even then, expect Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi witch hunts, or impeached Presidents over lying about a blow job.

But actual obstruction of justice/treason when a Republican is in office...who cares, Democrats are worse because soshalism or communism and stuff.

Seeing as if Trump's advisers want him to quit tweeting, from his opponent's point of view isn't it logical that he should keep on doing it because every time he does it's another nail in his political coffin?

After Twitter Fact-Checks Donald Trump's Tweet, President Threatens to Close Down Social Media Platforms

President Donald Trump has threatened to "strongly regulate" or close down social media platforms if they curb the speech of conservative users.

The commander-in-chief said on Wednesday morning that his administration would consider the measures if the tech platforms were to "totally silence conservative voices."

He also urged social media firms to "clean up" their acts a day after Twitter labeled two of his tweets as "potentially misleading."

Posting on social media, Trump said: "Republicans feel that Social Media Platforms totally silence conservatives voices. We will strongly regulate, or close them down, before we can ever allow this to happen.

"We saw what they attempted to do, and failed, in 2016. We can't let a more sophisticated version of that happen again."

After claiming that voting by mail would lead to a "free for all on cheating" and electoral fraud, the president added: "Whoever cheated the most would win. Likewise, Social Media. Clean up your act, NOW!!!!"

Newsweek has contacted the White House and Twitter for further comment. This article will be updated with any response.

Trump issued his warning to social media companies after Twitter fact-checkedposts he made claiming that mail-in voting increased instances of fraud.

The social media platform tagged the president's two tweets with a message that linked to a page with statements refuting a connection between mail-in voting and increased voter fraud.

Trump and those compliant cowering Repubs in the legislature want to maintain their ability to lie and deceive the public at their leisure because they feel there's nothing wrong with doing it due to their setting a precedent for allowing it in the information age.

Restricting their ability to lie at will would cause catastrophic damage to their age old propaganda campaign of deception that they've built their party platform on.

It's just a natural function of having to appease their working class base with lies and empty promises while blatantly catering to the needs of the very rich and powerful.

Mofo is not going to stop tweeting no matter what his advisors tell him. He's a stubborn SOB, pretty old and set in his ways, and tweeting is one of his trademarks. Trust me, he will NOT stop tweeting, doesn't matter what happens. He'll tweet to his grave. Less and less people will pay any attention, that's the way it will be.
