Do you realize how sick and brainwashed you guys have become assuming everyone not liking Trump as "hating America"?
(Last time I checked, at least when I still lived in the US, you could be Dem OR Rep, or even liberal and for FUCK'S SAKE even "socialist", and still be proud American and proud of that you an have a free opinion, incl. voting in one way or the other. When has this changed? OH WAIT, it has changed when the orange fucktard and his imbeciles came to the scene where now everyone who is not thinking like them is supposed to "hating America". You are ONE sad pack of idiots...my ass.)
The whole problem revolves around the Repub's efforts to re-brand Trump into some kind of passable example of a president, but given the distasteful notoriety that Trump has/had garnered for himself, well it's going to take a whole lot more effort on their part than simply slapping lipstick on the proverbial pig. It's a really difficult task for them to turn his notorious persona into something that they can point to the world with some kind of......pride?
So the go-to shtick is to demonize the Dems into a lower form of life than the guy they're tasked to defend, and that guy is Trump, so you know how low they have go to do that. As proof, let's harken back to the time when Trumps' worst enemies were the guys from his own party, with the rest of the nation simply sitting back and watching in awe at how the Repubs were tearing into each other, and how that melee finally coalesced into a concerted effort to destroy Trump the moment it looked like he was in the lead. That's factual history right there, that's Trump at his worst (or best, given how he won the big one).
All of those nasty and mean things the establishment Repubs said about him? Well, these prominent Repubs were right about most of what they were branding Trump as because Trump being himself was providing his competition with all the ammunition they needed. And at that time there was hardly a shout from the peanut gallery in defense of Trump's unacceptable behavior and outlandish remarks. At that point in time he was toxic. From the unsavory flavor and aroma that he lent to their primary contest, Trump attracted to himself the extremist nutjob base of that party, the white supremacists, the zealots.....and they all gave him their blessing. It wasn't his professionalism or decorum or statesmanship that attracted the base to him, as a matter of fact it was just the opposite kind of behavior that did it.
That stink he lent to their primary is still with us to this very day. I mean, just look at his cabinet picks. The only guy whose name lends any kind of credibility to their selection process is Romney. Almost all of the remainder are folks that think and act just like Trump. Now who needs that?
This is Trump. He is who he is, as he was in the past, as he is in the present and will be into our questionable future as a nation.
His supporters can deny this at their own peril, but then denial seems to be one of their strong suits, no?
