OK. New question.

Why is there a Tech Issues Forum when no one cares anyhow??

We can't change fusetalk code.

that sucks. we can join together, vote for, and help a fellow's ATer's friend win a free 20K wedding, but we cant fix the bugs in our beloved forum's software.

It's not that we "can't", it's that many of us don't know how.

none of the mods or admins know how to fix it.

this is an issue FuseTalk needs to deal with. they have known it was a problem since the beginning of January, but we still do not have a fix.

I'm very sorry all of you have had to deal with this for so long -- we are doing as much as we can but we just can't make FT fix our problem any faster. believe me, we've tried.

I'm not sure I've run into the full-blown crappiness of FuseTalk, so I'm wondering if what I am experiencing is the same issue, maybe a related one?

I can still see all of the PM's I've sent and received in my inbox/outbox. When I view my PM user history, however, the first PM I received from a user doesn't show up there.

This is indeed "the PM issue."

It's fun being members of FuseTalk's testbed forum!

Is there someone at Fusetalk we can contact/pest/harass/threaten to get this taken care of before Fusetalk 4.0 comes out? This is getting really annoying.

ZOMG, don't say it's name 5 times! :Q

Seriously, I hope we never upgrade again if it's as ridiculous and frustrating as this version.

Yup. Those are the "first" PMs in a string.....you can't see them :disgust:.

If you're having so many problems getting SERVICE out of a COMPANY that you've done so much BUSINESS with in the past, spending THOUSANDS if not TENS OF THOUSANDS on their product to not have thing fixed in an EXPEDIENT manner, WHY on earth would you CONTINUE to DO BUSINESS with them?

G4TV ditched fuse talk after a very disastrous upgrade to v.3 I was a moderator on those forums and hats off to the AT mods, the tools you guys have SUCK.

G4 moved to Jive Forums *shrug*

My thoughts as well. At least the support contract should be terminated. As things stand, you're essentially paying them to create trouble for you (since they not only won't fix anything, but won't let you fix things yourself either).

Maybe it's similar to what some of my engineering professors talk about. One a few occasions, they've encountered odd bugs in the software, and the company was unable to help. The one professor eventually solved a problem on his own, and called back the company (PTC) to see if they'd found a solution. They hadn't, so he described his solution, and they said, "Ok, thank you, we will add that to the database." Thanks for the help, I guess.
On another issue, with a different company, they actually offered to send him the affected code, and asked if he'd debug it for them (for free of course) - he used to write software before he switched to mechanical engineering. He said that he politely declined, as he left the software industry for a reason.:)

Why can't we just revert back to the OLD fusetalk code in order to have the PM system working once again...I use PM's quite often and it is becoming increasingly frustrating.

It seem unacceptable that we've been complaining for 2+ months and this isn't fixed as of yet....ridiculous.

I also find this annoying. It's especially bad when trying to sell things. I often times have to dig through my PM's to find out what I was selling to who because of the missing first PM's.

Ok never had a problem but I've reached the 1200 limit and cannot export. It shows in a tiny window generated by a javascript button! In the past I could export to an html file and email or save it, etc. Now I cannot use the PM feature. I do not want to delete the PM's! What to do?

Rubycon, try deleting just one email you know you can live without, or copy/paste it first. Then see if you can export.

No idea why this would work, just a wild guess.

Anything new on this? Has Fusetalk given up? Are they hoping it just goes away? Did Anand get a refund on the Enterprise Edition's Maintenance and Support plan?

The PM issue is an insult to all of us.

Took me 15 minutes to figure a work around to answer a PM.

Nero fiddles while Rome burns.

Customer loyalty got sold down the river ..............
