Beautiful.

Actually a lot of American Idol songs are amazing.

David Cook's "Always Be My Baby" is really nice

Jason Castro's Memory was beautiful too

Adam Lambert's rendition of MJ's Black or White was just amazing. Actually the live version shows that he could do what MJ could do quite well with the moves...

I thought Castro was horrible--always. I remember when ALW asked told him directly: "You have no idea what this song is about, do you?"

Check my sig. Cover status is debatable but not the quality of the performance.😎

Billy Steinberg? and Tom Kelly penned the song in hopes Roy Orbison would do it. They gave it to him, and he did record it but it wasn't released until well after his death. Billy & Tom were working w/ Cyndi on A NIGHT TO REMEMBER and offered her the song. She did the first version ever RELEASED.

Erasure - Solsbury Hill (weird 80s-style gaypop version) Here's a pretty good live version of it

Well this was the only cover I hadn't heard of in the thread so far, so I just followed your link and watched the youtube. Wow. Such garbage - they totally ruined one of Peter Gabriel's best songs with an atrocious mix and terribly flat and uninspired vocals.

Well, I had some time at work so I listened to a number of these.

Cover Shinedown - Simple man
I really liked the Lynyrd Skynyrd version, and I really liked shinedown's as well.

I'd have to go with Ichigo and say Jeff Buckley's cover was better (albiet way more overplayed).

That was amazing. I love covers like this.

I prefer the original, but your right it does gain something being sung this way.
