On the topic of this thread - have we forgotten about the LA riots after the rodney king incident?

During the LA riots, the only businesses that were not looted, were the ones where the owner of the store took up arms and defended their property.

Shortly after the LA riots, there was an article in American Survival Guide, which included a picture of bails of cardboard in front of a business, and men with rifles behind the bails. Needless to say that store was not looted or burned.

Additionally though places of business and peoples homes were more susceptible to damage, theft, and assault without anyone capable of doing anything about it. Yea good ideas.

I've heard of 7 people being killed. The only point I was making is that it's not for me to advise people how to defend themselves, it's not my place, I don't know enough about the subject to give good advice on it.

I shall perform 4 scope checks at 100 yards and 10 at 200 yards on every rifle. I will confirm battle site zero on all. I will purchase 5 thousand rounds more ammo.

The UK has a wide wealth gap, lots of socialism to keep everyone happy, etc. I would definitely consider the government over there scared of their own people just as I'm sure they think us crazy Americans are scared of each other. There's not much you can do really except pick your poison. We are lucky over here to be able to protect ourselves IMO.
