In a large riot situation, I'm not sure a firearm is going to help much. The crowd mentality will be similar to a zombie swarm. While you might kill a few, if their numbers are large enough, they will get you, get your gun, and tear you apart.
I carry every single day.
Already have several handguns and a Mossberg 500, so my answer to the OP's question is NO.

It's happening here in the US and will only get worse as they get more and more emboldened. Just when I think I have too much ammunition, seeing something like the UK and how it can and likely will happen here makes me realize I don't have enough.
