Are rockband and guitar hero actually fun?

I feel a bit old (23 🙂 ) to be playing these games, but when i was at best buy , they sure did look fun. My GF loves DDR2 and i figure well enjoy playing this too.

Which game is best for wii or xbox 360 ? Rockband? Guitar Hero? Which version?

Rock Band is infinitely better than Guitar Hero if you want to play with other people. RB2 for XBox 360 is what you want. Definitely not the Wii version (has major limitations).

Rock Band is the best console game I've played in many, many years.

Until I played Rock Band I had vowed to NEVER buy a console gaming system. I was a die-hard PC gamer.

3-weeks after playing Rock Band I had an Xbox 360. 😱

I just turned 36 and don't have any kids.

I only like playing the songs that I actually like. My gf is the completionist in the house so she unlocks all the songs so I can play the two or three that I actually like. It's a great system.

I also use her to level for me in Final Fantasy games. She was a wow-nerd when I met her, but I made her stop playing so I have to give her an outlet for her grinding urges..

hehe double entendre 😉

Guitar Hero World Tour is now pretty much the same thing as Rock Band is it not? Drums/vocal/bass/guitar.

I've got guys in my office in their 40s and 50s playing it with and without their kids.

So yeah, it can be fun if that is what you are interested in.

I'd like to say that GH:WT is better than RB2. I've played both on the Wii and I have GH:WT. RB1 and RB2 are too easy.

Similar, except I bought a Wii.

Anyways, they're excellent party games. I bought them so I can invite people over to play. The working world is not as exciting so this is a way to get a group of us old friends together and just chill. Man what fun this would have been in college, although RB did come out our senior year and only 1 friend I knew had it.

I like both, but Rock Band is better to play with other people. I've only played it on XBox, but hear dthe graffics are better than on Wii. Every time a group of people are over the house, it turns into a Rock Band fiesta. (I'm 25)

i like GH, Rock Band, all of the above.

the best thing about them is they teach you how to play the real instruments.

edit: never started playing them until i was 33

GH: World Tour is as much fun as Rock Band (has all the instruments) but IMO the Rock Band songs are much better

Thanks, now I'm driving myself crazy trying to think of what song this might be from, which is totally futile considering I've only played guitar hero 2 and Guitar hero rocks the 80's.. There's more GH and RB songs that I have no experience with than songs that I have..
