What year and milage?

if it is 3+ years old then its relability will be based mostly off of inherit problems of that line and how it was kept up or not kept up for that matter.

Millenias, from what I remember, are VERY reliable cars. lots of people are still driving them at 250-300K with no problems. I think there was a thread about them around here.

The older ones were turbo and very bad to keep as they were not good. The newwer ones, i think V6, are supposed to be better. that is why i was asking what year so i can help better.

The Millenia S (which is the one you'll want to get if you do get one) is supercharged, and the purpose of the supercharger is not only to provide more power, but also to give you that power without sacrificing much fuel economy.

Old Mazdas aren't really all that special, though. Most of them other than the RX-7's were known to be bland, reliable, and generally poor selling cars. The ones 2003 and newer, like Mazda3/6 and even the Protege5 are pretty unique, good looking, and very nice to drive.

I was considering a Millenia, but thought it better to get a newer car.

i personally wouldn't touch any pre-ford mazda's except the miata and the protege. the 626 is a nightmare, the MX5 was ok, the old 323's are reliable. old mazda midsize's are quite poor.
