If youre the kind of person that listens to music such as blonde redhead, go to NYU, live in the village, etc etc...then yes, you can not be cool unless you have an ipod. My roomate is one such person. His ipod earbuds broke, so I lent him my sennheisers. Even though they are obviously of higher quality, theyre not the ipod white that tells everyone else in the world that you have an ipod, so he went out and bought the crappy buds.
He too was on the subway, listening to blonde redhead, when he bumped into a girl, who was listening to blonde redhead on her ipod as well. For a second I figured it might be the same person as the poster above, then again, if spat anywhere near washington square park, it would probably hit someone listening to blonde redhead on their ipod. Or someone blogging on their powerbook in a starbucks

I actually have Sennheiser PMX60 Headphones, Street Style, i modded them witha cord from a broken set of iPod earbuds, and some White Krylon Plastic Spraypaint, they look wicked sick with my Ipod.
Ne way, peeps that go for looks over quality suk.
The iPod is simple to use, has reasonable sound quality, its small, and iTunes rocks.

Your personal observations are generalizations that are pretty homophobic imho. These kinds of comments about gay people were expressly forbidden by AT mods a while ago.

No I Sparay Painted th Sennheiser Headphones (That sound incredible) so they would match the Ipod.
That's just sad. I sure am glad I'm not a slave to fashion. And I think that's really all welst10 is getting at; iPods are, for some inexplicable reason, the current trendy thing to own, and both women and gay men have a stereotype of being trendy/fashionable. newParadime, do you have a car by any chance? If you do, is it a Civic? One with a leet aftermarket exhaust tip and ground effects?
