Haven't bought many comics for 20 years, but once I received my Chase Sapphire card, I immediately spent some $7000 on comic books in the first month so I can book travel with the bonus.
I found that I could buy large sequential runs of popular titles like Batman, X-Men, Punisher, etc. I'm talking 200-300 consecutive issues or complete runs of series. And I was buying them for well under cover price; often 50% off. It must suck for some guy to faithfully buy a title for over a decade, and then sell all those comics for a giant loss.
I know that Marvel now offers all their comics online for a monthly fee. Have people stopped reading printed comics?
