I'm tired of people criticizing Israel and Ariel Sharon for deploying troops into the Ghaza Strip and West Bank.

How about I pay somebody $10,000 US to go and blow up your family, and then you tell me that you don't want revenge?

<< [butthead voice] you linked to the drudge report. huh huh [/voice] >>

Hey, If you bother to read the article, you would've seen the first few words:

<< The WASHINGTON TIMES on Monday will report >>

So you see, Drudge is not saying this on his own, He's just saying what will be in tommorow's Washington Post.

Why not wait for Monday and report that directly from Washington times?

Also, I thought Sharon has 'isolated' Arafat, I guess Sharon is not up to what he claims after all.

Finally, what's the problem with him 'ordering' Bethlehem church fighters not to negotiate? The Israelis should get the hell out of Bethlehem and other Palestinian areas.

This concludes it:

Rome, April 8 -- Franciscans, who had been working for a peaceful solution to a standoff at Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity, condemned on Monday an Israeli assault as an act of ''indescribable barbarity'' with long-term consequences.

Father David Jaeger, spokesman for custodians of Catholic sites in the Holy Land, who is currently in Rome, told Reuters he had been told by telephone that Israeli troops had begun firing on the convent and that a fire had started.
He said one man had been killed by gunfire while trying to put out the fire.
''This is an act of indescribable barbarity. It is a violation of every law of humanity and civilisation. It is a violation of the explicit and repeated public and diplomatic guarantees of the State of Israel with consequences that will be long-term and incalculable,'' he said.
''We put our trust in God and we appeal to the whole world to condemn this act and stop this behaviour from continuing,'' he said.
Some 200 Palestinian gunmen and civilians took refuge in the Bethlehem church on Tuesday and have remained holed up inside along with 40 Franciscan monks and four nuns.
Mohammed al-Madani, the Palestinian governor of the West Bank city who is inside the Bethlehem complex, said soldiers in the municipality building 100 metres (yards) to the west and gunners in two tanks to the south were shooting at the church Christians believe marks the site of Jesus's birth.

The Israelis indeed should get out of Bethlehem and the other Palestinian areas. They dont wanna be there either. There just this little thing, that people are blowing themselves up in Israeli supermarkets.
But I'm sure you support the suicide bombings.

I submit that Father Jaeger has never been in battle either and has no freaking clue what its like. Indeed, the Israeli soldiers should have made the split second mental calculation that the Palestinain gunman that came to the burning window was prolly coming to put the fire out, and not coming to fire at them (Palestinian gunman have shot at Israeli soldiers in the past).

Thanks, I'll never read the Washington times again; what a waste of ATP is was.

Irrelevant. Everyone in the whole world wants Israel out, including the US. The EU is likely to impose sanctions against Israel, the first time ever. Israel is really isolated in the international community. Why? Because the whole world all the sudden turned anti-semitic? Or because Israelis are no less barbaric than the suicide bombers?

Yeah much like the other split-second decisions that killed hundreds of civilians in the past. or much like the Israeli sniper firing at a clergyman when he opened his monastery window.. or .. or ...etc..

I'm going to bed, good night all and joyfull dreams.

right now, both isreal and palestine could sink into a pit of molten lava, and be replaced by the firey gates of hell, and I wouldn't care. I'm tired of both of them and thier fighting.

The mark of a strong argument is when someone states "irrelevant" and then leaves. </sarcasm>

Hey, you want to blow up old ladies and little kids, you get your toes stepped on. I personally think we should apply the concept of MAD to terrorists. You know, you randomly blow up this group of civilians, then we randomly blow up that group of civilians type of thing. That would pretty much end suicide bombers (after a while of course), if people had the balls to follow through with it.

I suspect Arafat's out of the command loop. So he issued that order to maintain appearances. He knows those guys holed up in the church are going to pull a WACO (we ain't comming out). No matter what Arafat wants.

Any pity i have for the Palestinian militants disappears instantly when i remember the things they've done to Israel. I don't care what they're fighting for and why, but because they target innocent civillians, they all deserve to die. Arafat must be removed from Palestine. Either killed or exhiled. I would prefer the latter, followed by the earlier a few years down the road when no one cares :D

So, Arafat showing his true colors orders no negations for some GUTLESS COWARDS who take refuge in a holy place like the parasites they are.

Anyone else having a problem with these COWARDS running away into a holy place for cover?

The US should kick both sides to the curb. If they are so intent of slaughtering each other like blood thirst animals why should be bother to stop them? I say withdraw all monetary and military support and let them have at it. Neither side is worthy of our support.

Of course this wouldn't have happened if the cowards had not taken refuge there using it as a shield. why are you not addressing this?

Since this is from drudge only after the washington times shows it will I give it any real consideration. I still remember when drudge said russia was massing its military at the end of last year to re-invade Afghanistan.
