So google has a PM job they just opened in Provo. Where I happen to live. So I am going to apply. I have some background in projects and I worked in a conference center for 10 years. Anyway, anything I should do or write on my resume to stand out?

In case anyone hasn't suggested it yet, you should really PM pcslookout. Last I heard, it appeared he had some success going the Google employment route.

Ten years is good experience. Highlight major projects you worked on, key features such as money allocated and saved, what was implemented, how you worked and managed teams, you could put a lot of things on there.

Their developer interviews are a lot of rounds and very tough so I expect on the pm side they will probably focus more on how you engage team members, attitude, setting goals, other behavioural things. Good luck doesn't hurt to try it out and learn from it even if you don't make it.

Don't forget to mention in your résumé that you managed a team of highly skilled graphic designers on a bleeding-edge photographic manipulation project over the course of 3 years.

I should be a professional résumé writer...

EDIT: Them neing Google, I'm guessing it wouldn't actually pass muster seeing as they would, you know, just Google it . I wonder if they use "Google" as a verb, or just say "us it".

I would recommend finding an exciting and innovate product and giving them examples of how it can be utterly ruined. They'll know you're the right man for them.
