LOl, Who's Yo Daddy?

"About the stop of development\distribution of Y'z Dock

I received the warning of piracy from Apple Computer, Inc.

I admitted that "Y'z Dock" was imitation of "Dock". And I decided to stop development and distribution of "Y'z Dock". This stop is lasting. It is NEVER resumed.

Moreover, I do not permit re-distributing "Y'z Dock" by others. Please NEVER re-distribute "Y'z Dock".

And this warning act by Apple Computer, Inc. is lawful and just. Please NEVER slander this warning.

Thank you for your understanding.

I apologize to Apple Computer, Inc. and the persons concerned.

I am getting so sick of big companies using lawyers to pigeonhole people into giving up their hobbies.

Why did Apple do this? It wasn't costing them money. There is no way that they could prove that in court. Do they get to threaten everyone who makes buttons round and shiny? How about those who make themes with white lines on them?

This is insanity. I literally feel a little sick thinking about people doing this all the time.

So, no more IBM, Microsoft, SCO, Sun, Apple, etc? Pretty much every company does this these days.

Does Apple not want people ripping off their ideas? Seems like fair game to me.

Maybe Apple has a patent on their dock thingy or something?

Apple probably shut them down because after you make windows look like OSX, no one would have reason to buy a mac anymore!
(j/k, by the way, you apple people)

I don't understand why moby hasn't gotten one (mobydock) and stardock (objectdock) ? Also, there are several docks for Linux, too.

It's not. At least, that isn't the reason that I buy Apple's products.

I don't know if it's a good thing to NEED hardware acceleration for your desktop...

Well if all macs running OSX standard have the appropriate video card, then it's fine.
Plus it takes the burden off the CPU. Try enabling transparencies in WinXP. Instant 2-20% CPU load right there.

I would try that if I used XP just for giggles; it doesn't give me much of a proc hit in KDE though (1-2%)

Boo to Apple..

I'll still continue using it until they take it off my computer.. It was the best dock app out there which is why I think Apple had it shut down..

Microsoft uses the same tactics.
