OK no monitor... I can live with that.
You can get a keyboard and a mouse at your local computer shop.

I like it. I wonder if you can edit HDV on that thing. HDV editing for $500 would be sweet.

Does it have to be an apple keyboard and mouse or will a PC PS2 work?

Otherwise you get no USB?
Do normal USB keyboards not work?Originally posted by: Thin Lizzy
Yes. Either you would have to get the Apple USB keyboard, or buy a USB hub.Originally posted by: Macro2

great news for the people who didint want to blow all their money on mac hardware! Now all they need to do is lower their rediculious sw prices and wed be in business.
$1? They aren't expensive, but normally I see the keybaord and mouse dongles for $10 or so (which also leaves 1 USB port open).Originally posted by: Tabb
Or a $1 USB-PS2 Adapter.

Don't ever, ever, ever buy memory from Apple.
Pick any other reputable vendor and install it yourself.
The other problem is memory. It is NOT user upgradable. You either have to pay Apple's prices for RAM, or else pay a technician to install it. It might be a good idea to wait for third party resellers to offer their free memory or cheap memory deals with this. If you install it yourself, you void the warranty.

BTW, can I plug this thing into the TV? Wouldn't mind trying it as a media PC.

oh wow too bad i hate MACs :|
Reasons: Unnatural interface, lack of software support?, first computer was a mac w/ 8mb of ram 1gb HD and slow CPU in an age where 500mhz PIIIs were the rage :|
It looks cool and all, but heh...I dont like Macs..
But then what about a printer? external sound? flash drive? $17 shipped gets a itty bitty powered USB hub, though.Originally posted by: Thin Lizzy

Thats good. Then you will leave an open USB port on the Mac, without having to buy an Apple keyboard or a hub.![]()
