They don't call it a combo update for nothing.

How big is the Delta update?

True.. I guess the combo has to support any version of OS X 10.5.

Thanks for the headsup, upgrading now via Software Update. It's nice to be able to do OS X updates with (relatively) less worry than a Hack 😉

Whatever dude. I'll see you at the next HMA meeting (Hackintosh Masochists Anonymous) 😉

Well, that sounds promising. I think I'll wait until Saturday to try though. My MacBook Pro is currently at the Apple store getting a new screen, (Dust somehow got under the glass) and I want to have at least one working computer. 😉

Your buddy? As the main Hackintosh man here you should be the first to do it 😉

I've updated my P965-DS3 through Software update. No issues here.

Blah blah blah working late blah blah excuse blah excuse blah blah

/hides in shame 😀

Okay, this is an interesting problem/issue.

I have a MacBook Pro v. 4.1. Just updated to 10.5.8

On Battery, wireless speeds drop to below 1 MB/s
On AC everything is fine, wireless speeds are back where they should be.

How does that make any sense???

Anybody have the same problem?

Some times I think the computer gods have it out for me!

Thanks!

did he have to do anything special? Netkas posted instructions and it seems to work for. http://netkas.org/?p=123

I tried to update my ep35-ds3l F6 retail 10.5.7 to the 10.5.8 with combo update

Everythings works except audio and sleep. THe Taruga patch fixes the audio as expected, but the sleep is completely broke. Shutdown & restart work fine. Sleep causes monitor to go to sleep but computer stays on & need hard reboot.

I did notice that 10.5.8 seems a little zippier than 10.5.7.

Any suggestions ? thanks.

Don't think I saw this mentioned before, but they also posted a security update for Tiger. So, to answer another's question from a while ago, they will still at least do security updates for older OSes.

Not sure what will happen to Tiger once Snow Leopard comes out, but for now at least, they are still putting out updates.

Apple has a +1 support policy. The current major release gets full updates, the previous major release gets security updates. So once Snow Leopard is out, Tiger will no longer get security updates and Leopard will just get security updates.

I figured that would be how it was, I didn't have a Panther system before I got my MacBook with Tiger, and then upgraded to the Leopard Beta and then Leopard and never looked back (QuickLook is my homeboy!), so I never put 2 and 2 together to get Security Updates.
