Very interested in the AirPods. I'd probably never get them but I like the look and idea. Curious how they charge.

It looks like they charge in that box they showed, which itself has to be charged.

iPhone 7 is a nice bump for those on iPhone 5 series and older. But for 6 and above it seems to be a "meh" upgrade.

I think I'll be sitting out this round for the 7S.

If you're going to go full waterproof & full wireless for audio...why not go fully enclosed? Remove the Lightning port. Wireless charging only.

Because that would make too much sense. Waterproof phones have been made with 3.5mm jack for quite a while. So using that as an excuse is pretty silly.

If they are using that excuse then you're right, why not seal the whole thing off.

Once these companies get popular enough they tell us stories as if we are imbeciles.

Also instead of just supporting apt X they went and did this. Apt X has a range of existing products you can buy today. Instead they kept us on older crappy wireless audio standards until they created this.

This is getting to be as bad as Sony was at its peak. See where they are now. I sense a similar trajectory. If before a few decisions were money grabs now every last decision is a money grab to the core.

I really wish Windows Phone were a contender. I'm getting an android to test the waters. That's how I got hooked on iOS - with a refurb to test the waters.

Depends I guess. I'm going to get one and I have a 6+ 64GB now. I'll get a memory bump to 128GB, IP67, better camera, faster CPU with better multitasking. It's a nice upgrade for me.

I'll probably order it like the isheep I am. I use it more than any other electronic device.

The event was lame as heck though. No real info on what iOS 10 brings to the table. Maybe force touch will be actually useful this time. And I'll wash this thing like I wash my hands.

Apple reduced the cost of screen replacements to $29 if you have Apple Care +

And there's a note about how the new piano black phone scratches easily in the description.

The AirPods need an iPhone 5 or higher or an iPad 2 or higher to work, I suspect iOS 10 as well.

Am using an iPhone 6s, going to skip this one.

I remember those iPhone 5 models which let the color scratch right off. The geniuses were well trained to brush you off if you complained about it.

Well, there something to think about in regards to using a smart watch for things like sleep tracking. Even my Samsung Gear S2 which is considered to have better than average battery life needs to be charge at least every other day. Generally you are going to do that at night while you are sleeping, thus sleep tracking is nothing more than a gimmick.

I believe you are better off getting something made for fitness tracking if that's what you are after. They are not only cheaper but they are better at it. When I am running my Samsung sits on the shelf and my Garmin gets used.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards the Charge 2. I almost bought the Blaze, but thought about my actual usage & decided on a new Charge - but figured I'd hold off until I saw what Apple offered today. Currently undecided, but still leaning towards a simple black Charge bracelet. My Jawbone died, so it's time for something new!

For accurate HR nothing beats the scosche rhythm. Only $79. But you need to carry your phone on you. If it would work with the Apple Watch 2 that would be great, but I think most people carry their phone on them anyway. I suppose that combo would be excellent for swimming.

I've heard that HR on everything else is not really accurate.

Subtle, Apple, very subtle.
