Pricing:

iPad Air 2: $499 for 16GB, $599 for 64GB, $699 for 128GB... $130 premium on top of each for cellular.
 
Sorry Apple, not sticking to a standard 4K resolution on the iMac just seems dumb to me. Plus, whatever GPU you put in there probably can't handle it well.
 
Some decent spec bumps but nothing that makes me regret getting an iPad Air several months ago (especially for $325 at Best Buy). There'll probably be some cheap cases for the Air on Black Friday as well.

In something like FCP it makes sense, because you can have 4k 1:1 in preview and have plenty of screen real-estate for UI. Well, maybe not 1:1 depending on what your timeline looks like, but its better to get as close as you can get your Preview to its export res with the UI for editing.

Well then, there's hope for iOS 8 speed then. Cuz that iPad mini doesn't run 8.0.2 super well. Lag. They really need to speed iOS 8 up on that thing, which in turn would help for my iPad 2.
