If you walk face-first into something it's always your fault.
Companies aren't responsible for the stupidity of people, but courts like to reward people as if companies were.
The fundamental problem with lawsuits like this is that those awarding judgement side with people because it's easier to empathize with a person, regardless of how stupid they are and how much they are at fault, than a faceless organization with gobs of money.
She didn't see the door.
Or the car she sideswiped during the drive over.
Or the cat she ran over.
Or the postman that barely jumped out of the way after she blew through the stop sign.
83 years old? I'd like to see her have to get an eye test. And when she fails it, they take her driver's license. B/C that's what this is really about. Getting those who cannot see off our roads. Off MY road, anyway. That's all I really care about.
Haven't you seen the earnings? How could they not be at fault??ok..WTF how is this in any way apples fault? lol
I know someone that walked through a screen door because they didn't.
OK, I agree with the old hag that huge glass windows or doors that are floor to ceiling and clean can appear when there's no glare as if there is no glass that at all, and that it's possible to accidently bump into it. However, I think 1,000,000 must be a joke. I don't see that fetching more than about 1,000 or maybe 10,000 if the judge is in a bad mood. I mean, how much does it cost to get to a doctors office and to get treatment for it?
She clearly suffered 9 billion dollars in emotional damage

If they think its worth their time in court. They might just settle (although I hope not and I hope they win)Apple's lawyers will pick this apart.
If I would've walked though that window when I was a kid, my father wouldn't have sued. He'd have picked me up and thrown me through the other window for being such a dumbass in the first place.
