You can't install games on a cloud service, I have about 22 gigs of games on my iPhone, and that's not all my games. I'd like to have more games and more videos installed. The Cloud is worthless to me.
 
Ugh, Apple... stop giving me reasons to want to upgrade my 5! :|

Oddly enough, the finger print sensor is probably what has me the most intrigued. I guess I'm just too lazy to enter the code every time to open my phone, and a bit too scared to enable the phone-wipe-on-fail feature of it.
 
Hmm I wonder how Verizon would restrict me from buying a new phone. I think with the iPhone 5, they didn't allow you to buy one off-contract for a few weeks at least. Maybe I'll just go back to AT&T; Verizon gets no signal in some of the local stores (even one in a shopping plaza with a Verizon Wireless store 😛), which can be really annoying.

I didn't start doing it until a few weeks back. I figured that even though I'm not the type to leave his phone out or available to take, I didn't want to take a chance. Although, from what I've seen, it would really help to stop (most likely inebriated) friends from posting awkward things on your social media pages. 😛
 
fingerprint scanner makes perfect sense for unlocking phones.
but im curious why nobody cared when Motorola introduced it in the Atrix? did it work or was that just a gimmick like face unlock?

1. Did it work well?
2. It's hard to get traction when only 1 less popular phone model out of many gets it, and none of the higher selling models get it.

Same reason nobody cared about touch phones before the iPhone most likely; it wasn't done well enough the average consumer (read as moron) could use it effectively and it was probably not the smoothest of experiences. Apple doesn't invent new things, they refine existing ones into something that does 'just work'.
 
I think the fingerprint unlock needs to work very quickly or it's going to end up a gimmick like face unlock. I don't use a lock pattern on my phone, heck I don't even have a lockscreen, but when I did have a pattern unlock it took one second or less to go through it. Fingerprint scanning needs to be as fast IMHO.

Also I can't help but have a small tinfoil hat worry and think that Apple (or the NSA) will be using the sensor to collect fingerprints into a database for future use/abuse. :hmm:
 
Call me superficial, but one thing that bugs me to no end on Android is having to press the enter key on the lock screen to finish entering my password. It's an extra step that just doesn't need to be there.

As for the fingerprint sensor, if it just works 4X out of 5 (and not 4.9X out of 5), I probably wouldn't use it, and would just stick with a 4-digit passcode.

I trust Apple enough that they won't pull some 4 out of 5 times it works garbage. They know their bread and butter is it working near flawless. If should work 95% of the time, and the other 5%, you're fingering it wrong. >_>
 
I really didn't have a problem (and still never do have a problem) with Apple Maps. I feel like it was completely overblown by a few sites. Nobody I've met actually had usage problems with Apple Maps. The only complaints I've heard was from Android converts because Google Maps is a more feature rich of a navigation program; it offers better turn by turn (and updates the distance to the next turn) and gives you options to skip toll roads and such.

Apple Maps wasn't terrible in North America, at least in my big city (Toronto), but it was still a step down from Google Maps. However, Apple Maps still felt like a beta to me, but I'm told that in other countries in smaller places it was sometimes a disaster.

Then Google put out a new Google Maps, and that's the one I prefer to use in iOS.
