Appears there's no COVID vaccine stockpile like promised

And where is this abundant oversupply of syringes exactly when they're being used at a rate unseen prior to this year? Remember, in addition to the vaccine push, the use of syringes vastly increased last year due to the vast increase in hospitalizations from COVID. And I wouldn't be surprised to find out hospital supply lines are set up just like supply lines for the auto industry, for instance.....JIT supply. And JIT will constrain because the mfgr. isn't set up to ramp up production at a moment's notice, esp. not without some additional "push" from someone along with a tad of extra sugar attached.

Most manufacturing can increase capacity by adding shifts. Very few plants are running max output 24/7. We're talking about a relatively marginal increase over a normal year. At least in what's needed just for the vaccine.

I mean if that is the need, that is the need and I trust the adults Biden is bringing in to make that determination. I just find it hard to believe that is truly a sticking point right now.

At the end of the day, dogs and cats can share and the humans can take their extras 😉.
 
Just imagine if Trump had been re-elected. And Mike Pence. They certainly would never have told America that they lied and that no vaccine stockpile existed. One can only imagine what new lies Trump would have come up with not to mention that smirk on the face of Mike Pence while Trump told the world HOW GREAT OF A JOB MIKE PENCE IS DOING. Mike is right on top of the virus team.

Eventually, one day, we will all know the extents of the Donald Trump lies, and exactly how much his family profited off the presidency. Every untruth, every scam, every con, and every dime nickel and penny that the Trump family stole from the American people. One day.....

And where do you think we source most of them? Hint: It ain't the U.S. Most are from the country Trump's advocating not to do business with at all.

As I opened hundreds upon thousands of them over my career as an RN working in ER, ICU.....the vast majority were labeled Made in China on each wrapper. Most of the drugs were sourced from China, PR, or India. We have very little manufacturing capacity for most things left in this country, sadly.

You realize the majority of this is up to the states right? The states that have done the worst are the ones where they are trying to admin ster them like they are absolute rulers/dictators that can determine some huge order of operations of who should get them first on vaccines that have fucking huge cooling requirements and expiration dates.

If Trump would have taken the pandemic seriously and had been honest with everyone, not only would he have been reelected, it may have been a landslide.

Public health should not be partisan.

Sadly that doesn't surprise me. Makes it really hard to control production in an emergency.

Just wearing a mask, as a leader, and telling people they should wear masks would have been the easiest thing in the world to do, and would have probably saved at least 100,000 lives at this point.

Yeah and production is set up to match that.
NOW, on top of all the previous demand, were gonna need an additional 700 million syringes.
Thats a problem.

Or better yet they could have declared a war on covid and every one of the sheep would have been wearing red maga or flag masks since they are god fearing patriots.

This is what the Biden admin is invoking the DPA for not is much the vaccine as only so much vaccine can be made, but for all the other bits and pieces that it takes to make the vaccines(vials, stoppers, tops) and inject them syringes swabs etc.

There’s a lot more than just the vaccine and staff that is required for mass inoculations.

I would challenge you to find any speeches or remarks that trump made during the covid-19 crisis that were as comprehensive and compassionate as Biden's recent remarks. Biden has not even been sworn in yet. Biden has more empathy in the tip of his pinky finger than trump has ever had. Oh wait, trump never had any empathy or compassion. Nevermind.
