Brussels was certainly a problem, no doubt, but the best thing the UK had going for it was providing duty-free access for financial services to the EU in a different currency, and that's gone now as far as the market is concerned, which has priced in expectations of future trade barriers. And is why the pound has dropped, while the increases seen in other pound-denominated assets are due to the resultant inflation. Just like us, you guys voted to screw yourselves in order to screw everyone else.

I thought the denial was that alt-right is synonymous with Nazism and white supremacy. Which is what Trump was disavowing, wasn't he? He doesn't flat out name and discredit the alt-right, the article is just making that substitution for him.

I don't even really understand what the alt-right is exactly, or if it's really much of anything beyond a loose label being used by multiple parties with varying ideologies and motivations (including the ones that are calling it out)
