You're right, it was 75% off. Still, that was a month after release and during Steam's biggest sale event of the year. Hardly worth complaining about.

A better example is Botanicula, which went into a pay-what-you-want Humble Bundle literally the day of release.

it wasn't an issue for me because I didn't buy the game till a later sale it's just my first impression of the devs was the negative feedback. it just seems a little hypocritical to make a post that says it would be a shitty thing to discount the game 2 months after the release. Then actually put the game on sale 3 - 4 weeks later. Especially since most people are willing to wait for the steam winter sales at 3 - 4 weeks out.

definitely agree with botanicula. at least gog was willing to update their promo for the game when they didn't have to do anything. amazon has sent out credit in the past after they've dropped the price on a game. good will goes a long way imho.

I agree with a lot of the points in the article from the OP. Just need to take his points with a grain of salt.
