Berkeley, CA

Apt #1: $2250 / month 2 bed, 1 bath and they're raising it to 2550 for the next ppl (http://www.panoramicmanagement.com/vacancies/) LAFFFfffffffff, but it's a new place (Aug 2004) and everything is new, relatively good. New building, good insulation, you can't hear pppl party, good security

looks like under 700 sq. ft to me.... http://www.panoramicmanagement.com/buildings/bachenheimer/206.php

Apt #2: $1490 / month 2 bed, 1 bath... definitely an older place... old building, careful about walking too loud, you can hear ppl, cheaper and I get my own room.

It's definitely a bigger place, maybe around 800 sq ft?

Go ahead and beat my rent prices if you can.. maybe if u live in SF or NYC..

Not really? IF you take rich neighborhoods like Cupertino where apartments are building en masse (you can't really find apartments in Saratoga), 2 bedrooms are under $2000.

$1490 is a really crappy place compared to my $2250 place. So given that most other neighborhoods in the bay area have cheaper housing than Cupertino (Exception: Palo Alto, SF, Menlo Park, Saratoga, Los Altos, Los Gatos), I'm pretty much living at a ripoff place...

Hey you should all be happy. At least you have a bedroom in your apartment! $340/mo Central Illinois. One room... as soon as I graduate I am getting out of there.

Sounds a lot like what I have:

A 1 bedroom quad unit in Corvallis, OR for $199/MO in the summer, and $335 a month during the school year.

The good part?

All utilities are paid, which means..... Free AC in the summer! That b!tch is on 8-10 hours a day, keeping my room at a nice 70 degrees, even when I'm not there!

South Bay...1250 2br 1ba.

Got a great deal because of my employer.

We're moving north though, rent will increase to 1800 for 2br 1.5ba. Much nicer place.

$913/mo.
2 bedrooms
1 bathroom
includes water
suburban Baltimore

2-story townhouse with hardwood floors in the bedrooms 🙂

3 bdr/1bath, ground floor w/ direct back yard access...$1510 w/ cold water & heating included. Philadelphia.

1350, single bedroom 680 sqt/ft, 1 bath, washer dryer, etc... no utilities included... so w/ utilties alot... this is in the dc area

$820/month
2 bed, 1 bath
All utilities minus phone, cable, internet. The building has a deal on the latter if got as a package.
London, Ontario.

Currently renting two apartments:

$575/mo. + Internet + Electricity + Gas (water and garbage are included), Berkeley, CA
2 bdrm, 2 bath, kitchen, living room, split 4 ways

$600/mo. + Utilities, Miltipas, CA (adjacent to San Jose)
3 bdrm condo. Owner has the master, he rents the other two to me and another person.

$995/mo. + utilities (all of 'em) for a 750 sq ft 1 bedroom. Not cheap, but it's a nice apartment complex in a nice city (Columbia, MD for those familiar with the Baltimore Washington area). I could get more apartment for less money, but the location is more important to me.

1 BR/1 bath
los angeles, CA near downtown
1250.00 a month
but the good part is that we have 2 parking spaces.

water/trash/sewer included.

edit: this is severly UNDER market value for the area, BTW. we have a nice old lady landlord who feels guilty if she charges what the apartment is worth. but don't let that fool you. it's not a nice apartment. it's just THAT expensive to live here.

What part? I used to live in the Pismo Beach area.
